A nice diner

My husband and I dined here while in town for an antique auction. I had the salmon and my husband had a meat lasagna special. The lasagna was good, but the garlic bread was not. My salmon was good, I substituted the potato hash with bacon for mashed potatoes. The atmosphere was nice, the wine... read more

Everything was delicious. Service was fast and efficient! We were traveling through and found this gem on my phone. Thought we wouldn't be dressed nice enough but atmosphere was relaxed while food was upscale.

1808 is an excellent Delaware establishment. Solid menu, great staff, and atmosphere. They are creative in their presentation and food is excellent. Another gem in Delaware's restaurant scene.

My husband and I just returned from entertaining customers and their spouses from Europe. 1808 has always been our "go to place" for good food and service in Delaware when having our European clients visiting our company. The last 3 times we have been there, it was getting worse, but we thought that perhaps it would have improved...NOT...even worse! First,... More

Seasonal and regular menu items are always great. Filet medallions is my favorite dish for dinner. Salads and burgers are always good for lunch. Classy atmosphere.

This was the first time that I had been to 1808. I'd have to say that I'll go back quite often. First of all, they have a fantastic selection of draft beers. I like that they have a number of local brewers on tap. The menu was OK, not the best. My meal was great, but my fiance had a... More

This restaurant never disappoints. We have been coming here for many years and just made it here for Brunch. Highly recommend. The menu is perfect with something for everyone wanting breakfast or lunch. Both sweet and savory dishes. Endless Bloody Mary, greyhound, bellini

We've gone to 1808 several times in the last couple of years, but this last visit on a Friday night, was not great. The server never asked about refilling our drink order, and never asked about appetizers. When the food arrived (and it took over 30 minutes), all of our dishes in our party of four were "luke warm." I've... More

A great family or date night restaurant. The fit for foodies menu ranges from Korean fried chicken and shrimp and grits to the finest of aged steaks. The wine list is excellent but the jewels of the bar are any one of the 46 craft beers on tap. This is truly a beer lovers paradise!

Anyone writing a positive review on this restaurant needs to find an addiction counselor to get over their addiction to syrupy balsamic vinegar reduction. Quit drowning everything in it. Also, possibly hire a chef who isn't a hack and works within his skill range (he seems perfectly qualified for McDonald's). Other then that he does make a good grilled cheese... More
