I won't compare them to the other restaurants in town mainly because it would be like comparing apples to oranges. Their food is great both in the ingredients they use and the dishes they come up with. They also make a killer cocktail.

The food is good, if a little pricey, and a little pretentious for what it is; the beer selections are very good. But who cares about that junk because BEGNIETS TO DIE FOR. Leave room for them, or just forget the other stuff and go straight to begniets.

We hadn't been back for quite a while so went for our anniversary. We had made a reservation, but it was unnecessary. All of the food was very good - had a salad of Beets 4 Ways ($8) (although I really could only find two different styles of beets) which were on a huge mound of goat cheese. It was... More

I have to say I didn't have a lot of expectations for this restaurant. I had heard some very positive feedback but was a bit surprised to find such great food in Delaware, Ohio. I would highly recommend 1808 Bistro. The service was great and the food was even better. Also loved the building the restaurant was housed in, tons... More

The house salad is my favorite. Great selection of craft beers. Wonderful salmon. Service is always good.

1808 is uniquely different. It has a menu of different foods that are not run of the mill. I have not met a food there I didn't like. The staff makes great recommendations.

This use to be my favorite restaurant in the area. One of my choices for lunch has been crispy almond chicken salad I have had it at least five times in the last three months. The last two times, it has been over cooked. too thinly pounded and once just a not good piece of chicken.Complained but was just told they... My husband and I love this restaurant! We entertain a lot of people from Europe and 1808 is our "go to spot". We receive great reviews from our friends. The only reason I did not give 1808 5 stars is that during their lunch they do not provide bread with any entrees! It's always nice to have bread with a... More

My husband and I had dinner here, he a delicious perfectly cut/cooked steak and I had mushroom ravioli, both were absolutely delicious, you could tell the white wine sauce on my pasta was freshly made and not out of a jar, somewhat dark in the restaurant but I like that romantic atmosphere, would highly recommend!

We've spent a lot of time in and around Delaware since 2006 - our eldest chose OWU for her college studies. While many restaurants - great, good, and not so good- have come and gone in that time, the 1808 Bistro is one that just stands out, and has, so far, stood the test of time. While it does not...
