Local Taste of New Orleans Creole

Stumbling in to that authentic New Orleans creole taste in the NE Ohio area is not something you'll find on every other corner. If this is what you want, Risso's has it! Although I am not much of a "Creole Connoisseur", Russo's presents an interesting blend of the New Orleans fling with a touch... read more

Again we arrived to a packed house at 6:30...Thankfully we made a reservation, otherwise we would have waited over an hour. If you haven't been, both Italian and Creole foods are featured, and for some entrees they are even fused. We opted for Italian this night. Cavatelli with meatballs and Meat Ravioli, both in a perfectly fresh Pomodoro sauce that... More

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. I had the veal with lemon capers and he had the calamari. Both of us thought our meals were delicious. Our server was Brisi. She knew it was our first time dining there and made sure to explain any dish we had a question about. The menu has a... More

I had never heard of Russo's prior to dining there this week to celebrate my husband's birthday. I would have to say the menu was similar to Ken Stewarts or Flemings but without the fine dining experience and standard of those same establishments. Russo's has paper tablecloths covering the table and the dishes used for serving could have come from... More

While dining at Russo's, my companion and I both selected New Orleans style mains along with a salad. The service was good and we both found our food to be tasty; as I enjoyed a Hurricane we relived our trips to New Orleans. Of course, this is still an out of the way spot in Ohio but having eaten here... More

This has been one of our favorite dining options over the past few years, but the same chorus rings true with other recent reviews and is, sadly, becoming more consistent during our experiences. The Good: Food is consistently delicious, creative, and well prepared. This has never been an issue and the main reason we keep coming back. They serve dishes... More

This place is a bit out of the way but it's worth the drive. I visited Russos with 3 of my girlfriends on a Thursday night. APPS: we started out with oysters and calamari- both of which were mouth-watering good. SERVICE: the server (Lisa) was awesome, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations on wine and dishes... More

I agree with another reviewer that service is awful and management doesn't seem to pay any attention to what is going on with diners. May have had same server - no water or coffee refills, etc. Food is overpriced. Even though close by and thought it was good when first opened, won't be returning.

The food was very good - a mix of creole and Italian. There are some more traditional dishes on the menu for those less adventurous. The menu is posted online, but the descriptions are more fanciful than the dishes appear and taste. None of our party of six was disappointed in their choice of dinner entrees. The atmosphere is comfortably... More

Location in the middle of no where, hosts seemed confused & we waited about 20 minutes past our reservation time but the jambalaya was so good & the carrot cake was out of this world. Server was attentive & pleasant. We will return.
