Unexpected, Creole Cuisine and Cozy Atmosphere

Russo's is truly one-of-a-kinda and a pleasant surprise. Just around the corner from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Appalachian Outfitters, we stopped for dinner after Christmas shopping. Russo's is a truly unique restaurant, with one of the most interesting menus I have seen in a while. Please take time to ask you server about your thoughts, ours was helpful in guiding my guests choice, but I had to try the Navajo Taco which I had sampled many years ago when the chef was at another restaurant. The... More

Nice atmosphere...not a huge place so it gets a bit loud at peak times. Food is wonderful and you can sit and watch them cook it! Cavatelli is very good and calamari too if you do the Italian food side but creole is excellent as well. Kind of out in the middle of nowhere but easy to find. Highly recommend.

My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening, our neighbors have been telling us what a great place this was. Taco's were the special on Thursday and my wife got the shrimp and I the fish taco's which were stuffed with Redfish. Both were outstanding! The margarita's were also exceptional! We are coming back here again. Very good... More

Russos is an amazing treasure hiding in a remote corner of a tiny townshp. The menu is full of interesting and exciting dishes from New Orleans redfish and barbecued shrimp, beautifully presented Italian dishes to unique variations of old standards. And the wine cellar and bartending are also first class. I have now dined there five times with great pleasure.... More

Four of us visited on a Friday evening - had reservations and we were seated right away. This is an open restaurant and kitchen so it gets pretty noisy when it's busy and it can be hard to carry a conversation across the table. It does quite down from time to time. We've been here before and always had a... More

I went here with high expectations. Tripadvisor rarely lets me down. The grits and mac n cheese were good. The problem came with the jambalaya. Jambalaya is supposed to be thick, earthy and full of spice. I got wet rice with sausage and prego on it. Disgusting. I sent it back, and imagine my surprise when the dish that I... More

This restaurant had been recommended to us as a must. We finally went. It is somewhat tucked away but the drive is gorgeous. We tried a bunch of food on the menu and the fusion concept was great and they mostly pulled it off. Appetizers were the fried chicken livers. We had never had but have seen on food shows.... More

I actually searched for a restaurant around me on TripAdvisor and found Russo's and based on other readers reviews decided to try it. Once again I was rewarded. I grew up near New Orleans so finding a place with authentic flavors in Ohio is not easy. This place is the BIG EASY of Ohio! The appetizer Barbque shrimp was like... More

We had outstanding meals here. Very creative. Some dishes are Creole; others are Italian. I had a seafood Niscoise with capers, anchovies, sun dried tomatoes, and haricot vert. My brother had a Creole preparation made with shrimp. Everything perfectly prepared...comparable to the best in New York, Chicago and San Fan. Good beer and wine selection. Service is professional. Atmosphere is... More
