Not so much!!

Meat was over cooked-prefer it on the plate not on top of potatoes. A salad would have been nice. Desert was great.

It wasn't a very busy evening, seemed to have plenty of staff on hand, but somehow water glasses ran dry, the appetizer never arrived and "rolls" came out of a Pillsbury bag. Fish entree was eatable...would have had a better meal at home.

Our server Jeanne was great, friendly, efficient, engaging and as busy as they were she took time with us to chat. Service has always been great. Bring your own beverage, $5 corking fee, the staff is really accommodating. Of course the chowder and bisque are a must, we really came back for the twisted noodles my wife said she dreams... More

The atmosphere is really cool. Murals on some walls with bright, vivid colors. Stained glass windows...it's just a great place. The food is sooooo yummy. It has been a year or so since I was there, but nothing has changed. They don't take credit cards so make sure you take cash or check. Try it, you'll like it!

We have been there several times, usually with a Groupon or Living Social deal. Always freindly service and fresh food. The lobster bisque is one of my favorites.

Way overpriced "clam chowder". I use this term, but it tasted more like warm flour slurry. Just awful. I do not know how anyone could serve this and be proud of their "personal" recipe. No potatoes just like they said, but lots of flour and if those couple lumps were clams, I'm a monkey's uncle. Three people for lunch at... More

Food is always great whenever we come. The clam chowder is the best around. Seafood is the freshest it can be, and cooked to perfection. We had Savannah's best as a starter, and it was awesome. Staff is always friendly and exceptionally helpful in describing all the entrees. We always bring a bottle of wine, and they only charge $5... More

I love the food and the art. I have visited The Chowder house many times and I have never been disappointed. It is mostly a seafood place but they have lots of other choices. Everything I have tried there has been wonderful except the clam chowder. Go figure, The clam chowder is different than usual clam chowder. It has no... More

Tonight was our first night at the Chowder House Cafe, and we will be back. We had the seafood taco's, Twisted noodles, and Savanna's best and they were all three very very good. It also is BYOB, take your own or walk over to carry out.
