Good Lunch Experience

On a beautiful (actual sunshine) day like today, the outdoor patio was a great place for lunch. Beer was okay (we tried the Bleeding Buckeye and Dark Force), food was good (pulled pork sandwich and Salmon BLT), and service less than stellar. Take the time to check out the old interior and bar... read more

Gorgeous building, great beer, excellent food and terrific service. The building was originally a gentelman's saloon and billiards hall, breath taking bar, marble and wood, accented by fantastic stained glass and tile floor. They still have two original billiard tables from the 1870's. Mussles were flavorful, chorizo nachos were tasy as well.

House made brews across the beer spectrum and a broad menu of respectable dishes. Prices for entrees are mid-teens to low $30s. Atmosphere is unique with as the place has been many things in its past including a brothel. Stained glass windows and the long bar are the highlights. Easy walking distance from several hotels and no problem getting a... More

We recently visited the Columbus downtown area for a family wedding and found this restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. The menu was interesting, especially the Rock Filet served on a 450 degree iron plank that you actually have to cook yourself. It appeared they sell a lot of these because most people around us were served this dish.... More

Spent a couple of hours at Elevator with some community colleagues after an all day event at OSU. Ideal atmosphere for a couple of sundowners and hijinks over a game or two of pool. Recommended.

My hotel front desk recommended this restaurant and I thank them for doing so. It is well located within easy walking distance from the convention centre and many surrounding hotels. I ate here by myself the first evening and enjoyed it so much that I brought a table of 6 friends back later in my four day stay in Columbus.... More

Loved sitting outside to eat in the unusually moderate July weather. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The crab cakes were delicious and my husband thought the micro-brews were great. The building is beautiful with all the original wood work, tile, and stained glass windows. Our server took time to show us around and explain the neat history of... More

The Elevator had a great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food and great beer. The price was on par with the service. We would go back. Beautiful building.

Fantastic interior just on the High Street in Columbus. Period stained glass, wood and tiling. This place brews its own been and it's good!. Menu was good too. Definitely would recommend both for a good meal in the evening or a late beer - did both on my trip to Columbus,

Both the food and brew are good here. It is on my stop for anyone new to Columbus to try and often go back as well. The summer means the patio opens and this is a great thing. I have not had a bad meal or brew and have been back quite a few times.
