Description: The 91-square-feet "Mini Jeni's", which opened in April, 2011, occupies a former barber shop next to the Brown Bag Deli. It's just steps from Schiller Park, a jewel of the German Village neighborhood, which is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The walk-up-one of our two seasonal shops-attracts a steady flow of foot traffic and is open from April through October and includes plenty of patio seating to enjoy whatever flavor suits you. Note: This location has outdoor seating only and a limited menu.

.... And what's wrong with that? We ate at Brown Bag next door and then saved room for ice cream. Much as I would have loved to try the more adventurous flavors, I had salted caramel and chocolate, both delicious. This and a walk through nearby Schiller park made a visit to German Village complete!

Visiting from out of town and this place was recommended. It was superb. Not all of the flavors on the website were available at this location (it is just a tiny place where you place your order at a window and a few tables on the sidewalk). It is located on a side street right off of Schiller Park. I... More

Both the downtown and Dublin stores have a fantastic selection of delicious ice creams. You can't go wrong with salted caramel...

This Jeni's is a walk up window with some tables and chairs outside. Although the selection wasn't as good as at the Jeni's in the Short North, the ice cream is so amazing it gets a 5.

Had the dark chocolate and the bramble berry crisp. Both are excellent. The ice cream is handmade, fresh and absolutely great tasting. The scoops are little smaller than other chain ice cream shops and the cost a little higher, but we'll worth it. Great ice cream, great service...there is a reason there is a line at whichever Jeni's you try.... More

I visited the Jeni's in the Short North Arts District, and while I can't remember the flavor I had (I think it was something with blackberry), I do remember that it was delicious, with great flavor and texture, and that our service person was very pleasant and answered any question of the friend I was with patiently and with interest.... I forget the exact name - Lavender Berry? It was wonderful and refreshing on a hot sunny day. Grab a waffle cone and head to the park for a nice walk.
