Great Food & Great Service

I had the fish and chips with a Great Lakes Monster. You get a huge portion of fish. The outside was crispy with a moist inside. Perfecto! The chips were seasoned perfectly. No salt needed. The place was very busy and service was spot on. Thanks for the great meal!

I don't know how this restaurant rates for dinner. I will just say that if you eat salad for lunch, you probably want to skip the Old Mohawk. I know they have received complaints about the freshness of their lettuce mix and they continue to serve it. I won't be back to give them a third opportunity.

Great place to eat and interesting history. The turtle soup is wonderful, yes real turtle. At one time the original owner is rumored that he raised turtles in the basement to use for the soup. They are always busy every time I go there but the service is really good and they have a friendly staff.

Hubby and I were driving through Columbus heading back to Cleveland and had to stop at Old Mohawk for lunch. My hubby has been looking forward to their bratwurst dinner for over a year and he thoroughly enjoyed it again today. I had the Mohawk quesadilla and it was good could have been warmer but otherwise it was fine. Service... More

Ate lunch here. Ordered the turtle soup and Ruben, Wife ordered the Ruben. Both were very good. Waitress was very nice and efficient. Decorations in the place are very good with eclectic artists works for sale. Price was average. Would eat here again. Used to eat here all the time about 20 years ago when I worked down here and... I live in the neighborhood and go there at least 2 times a week. There is a nice variety of comfort food. "Lots of Cheese".I love the quesadillas and burgers but is all good and hearty. Barbie makes the best french martinis and they have my favorite beer Stella. Like home.

We have lived in Columbus for a while, and hadn't visited Old Mohawk (the shame!!). Decided to make it a lunch stop on a day off from work. Strolling around German Village on a bright, Fall day, one cannot help but be in a pretty solid mood! We were immediately greeted and seated on what was a still busy afternoon.... More

The Old Mohawk is one of those restaurants that seems timeless. Other than the beer selection, you would think nothing has changed in 20, 30 or 40 years and that's a good thing. The Old Mohawk has a good beer selection and the bar staff is always good about allowing customers to taste a sample before ordering a beer that's... More

Just left the Old Mohawk after they seated a just arrived group of 3 while we were made to wait for a 2 top. Not my idea of good customer service.

While the food is not stellular, it was good. The service was pleasant and they seem to be used to handling a busy bustling crowd. We did have to wait a bit for a table, but not tremendously long. this is not an epicureans delight, rather it is a nice place to get a decent meal with friends.
