What a great neighborhood restaurant that is always serving great food and service. A wide variety on the menu, reasonably priced, and a nice selections of beers. A must see while visiting columbus

Used to enjoy going to the Mohawk for food and drinks. Our last visit was horrendous. The staff was very unfriendly. Our food was basically dropped at our table, and then we were left alone until we begged for our check so we could leave. I had to leave the table to even get the check. The food was also... More

We walked here from the German Village Guest House for our pre-game meal before the Virginia Tech-OSU game. It's a nice mix of tourists and locals... and a good offering at the local tavern motiff. I went for Columbus Brewing Company's IPA, which was crisp and citrusy... but lacked the traditional IPA hoppiness. Seconded it with a Bell's Oberon... a... More

Friendly staff. Nice ambiance for a true neighborhood bar/restaurant. I want to give it more stars but the food is just not that great. Gets 5 stars for everything else and 3 for the food

Just had a lunch meeting here today. The place is crowded and noisy, but not so much that you can't have a meeting while eating. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive, but not pushy. And he did a great job keeping our glasses full. I had the baked mac and cheese and an iced tea. The entree was fine, although nothing... More

While wandering around German Village we stopped for lunch at the Old Mohawk. I had the half salad/sandwich combo with the Nature Salad and the Mother Mohawk sandwich. The salad was fresh and delicious, while the sandwich was a seemingly odd combination of roast beef, chicken salad, and cheese that was pleasantly tasty. Service was friendly and quick. This place... Went here and it was a success. The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their meal. The food was inventive and good. They were able to handle substitutions easily. The wine and beer list was great and the server was patient albeit a bit slow. We would definitely come again.

Stopped for a quick lunch at the Mohawk. Great atmosphere for a beer and a brat. Loved the potato pancakes along with the drier than normal, but tasty, sauerkraut. Good selection of beers on tap. Almost like being at home with a bunch of buddies. Laid back, friendly atmosphere. Attentive server. Well maintained in the German Village section of Columbus.

Took free bus to German Village to go here for lunch. Sat at bar & PJ took great care of us. Turtle Soup , Mother Mohawk sandwich & their homemade veggie burger. LOVED EVERYTHING. Get down to German Village! It is worth it.

Located in a building from 1906, this German Village tradition was a place I had never been, until this weekend. Loved the old brick walls, and the friendly atmosphere. Food was excellent, as was the service. Varied menu, turtle soup, yummy cakes. This place was a speakeasy back in Prohibition, and has been serving up food and drinks for decades.... More
