Great casual place

The service is good, the food is great and the menu has a nice variety of options. The gouda fried mac and cheese is something that brings us back...over and over. There's a decent craft brew selection as well. If you save room for dessert (and you should), try the rum cake.

I've had lunch here a few times. The food is great- love the chicken salad BLT. The service has always been great- staff is prompt and very friendly. I've also ordered takeout and they were nice enough to separate the sandwich into two takeout containers (I had mentioned we were sharing the sandwich when I ordered over the phone). The... More

We stopped in here by chance when we were visiting the German village, after buying some fudge. It was a bit of a slow afternoon, but the staff were absolutely lovely, making great recommendations, and very friendly with our baby. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and was a great value. They have some really interesting beers on tap,... More

We went on a Sunday evening around 5:30 and was impressed to see the crowd this place generates. We were sat right away and greeted by our server quickly as well. We had tried Thirsty Dog Christmas ale and Elevator winter brew, (or something like that) and ordered french onion soup and turtle soup. The beers were great, the french... More

All the locals are there eating so you know it has to be good. They serve the usual bar-type food but with a twist. For example I had the grilled cheese, mac and cheese with pork BBQ sandwich. That is a grilled cheese sandwich that has mac and cheese and some BBQ pork in it too. Served with slaw it... More

The food was good, the place is kind of small, but it was packed at 8:30pm. It's in a quaint little neighborhood area. I had the Mac and Cheese, another person had the beef stew in bread bowl, both items were very good. They have special brews too. We would go here again.

Tis a grand November weekday to be driving to Columbus; perhaps the last day of sun and 60 degrees for a while. We have been fans of the Old Mohawk in German Village for 48 years, and as we drive from downtown, we call upon OnStar to provide the directions to the Old Mohawk. German Village is so small that... I stopped into The Old Mohawk Restaurant following a morning photo prowl in German Village. Arriving at noon and seeing the restaurant was very full I was prepared for service to be a little slow. However, drink orders were taken and a menu was brought to us immediately by our waiter. The service was flawless throughout the meal. I have... More
