Great greasy spoon

If you want greasy, home-cooked breakfast, this is your place. Just about everything is cooked in butter but totally worth the calories. The German Village Coffee Shoppe will never be an award winner but for a good reasonably fast and filling breakfast the Cafe is a favorite of mine. Eggs over, hashbrowns, sausage and good coffee makes my day better everytime

We love the German Village Coffee Shop and go every time we're in Columbus. Great food, fresh off the grill. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The quality of their breakfast food is excellent. Reminds you of something you'd cook for yourself at home. It's definitely not a "chain restaurant" feel whatsoever. Worth the wait if there is one. Highly recommended.

Great food, full house, we had been looking for diner old style that we see on American TV shows but nowadays with expressways all we seem to find in roadside stops is American plastic food chain stops. We were referred to this by a local the other night and here we found old style diner in columbus german village in... More

We love places like this, an old diner style. We sat at the counter. Love to watch the cooks and converse. They were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, hot and quick

I come here whenever I am in the area at breakfast time. ALWAYS great food and service. The locals eat here so, you better go early or you may encounter a short wait.

First time taking the children down to the fireworks and looked for a place to grab breakfast. Googled German Village breakfast. This gem came up. What a pleasant surprise. Tiny little place but wonderful character, service and food. Knew it was a special place by listening to the crowd and management. Seemed to know so many locals by first name.... More

Sunday morning may not be the best time to go. We waited about 40 minutes for the 2 of us. Atmosphere is fun...great people watching. Our meals we superb! Corn beef hash, lemon/blueberry hotcakes and make sure you get the hash browns... Awesome! The wait was more than I wanted but the breakfast was great. Just be prepared to wait... More

Great little restaurant in the revitalized German neighborhood in Columbus. Very friendly people, great food, unbelievably inexpensive, the best sausage and bacon I've ever tasted. Not to be missed.

My husband and I started our weekend with breakfast here. It's a very good mom and pop type place. The restaurant is very small so be prepared to wait. Once we got our food though, we were very happy!
