Description: Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.

This restaurant may be on the small side and you may be standing in line for as few as 2 minutes to as much as 15 minutes. BUT it is very worth it because the food is great. One of the only downsides is that there is limited parking for the restaurant.

This place is a true deli. My sandwich was delicious and being able to nosh on garlic or dill pickles by the barrel while waiting for my sandwich help pass the time. I also had noodle kugel and that was great too.

After living in Columbus for years and trying just about every restaurant there is, I just keep wanting to go back to Katzinger's. The folks working here are super nice, the bread and olive oil samples are crazy-delicious, and the atmosphere is fun. BUT THE FOOD!!!! There is nothing in the world quite like hot pastrami on rye (or if... More

Katzinger's is the only true deli in the Southern part of Ohio. We drive from Miamisburg to get Pastrami, Corned Beef and pickles. We get a couple of pounds of meat and half dozen garlic pickles. Call ahead to have it ready for you. We bring a plug in cooler and Katzinger's also puts in some ice packs. Have a... More

We stopped in off the highway and were quite pleased to stumble upon this gem of a deli (and historic neighborhood) on a Sunday evening. The great and good: Quality of the bread!, colorful decor, serve yourself pickles, seltzer on tap, options options OPTIONS!! The could be better: A bit overpriced for what it actually is, Staff seemed disconnected from... More

First, don't eat breakfast and fast a good bit. Like a lot. Then head on over to Katzingers and if there is line wait in it - it goes pretty fast and it's well worth it if you like NYC deli fare. Any sandwich you can imagine or desire - if it's not listed, they will make. Matzo ball soup,... More

Katzinger's Deli has always been a staple in Columbus and while on the corner of a busy street, so worth the stop. We waited in line on a busy Sunday morning and sampled breads and olive oil while deciding what to order. The number one sandwich is their traditional reuben so we each ordered one (regular size, not the jumbo... More

The was the real thing. White fish, hearing, pistrami, all you can eat great dill or garlic pickels, Dr Browns soda etc etc. Super rye and pumpernickel and other breads. Memories of a New York childhood.

This is a great Deli - everything looks so good. We stopped for breakfast based on a friend's suggestion. I am a big fan of good corned beef hash - and this was the best. Fresh corned beef, chopped up with some onion and potatos - more corned beef than anything else. I will travel back just for the breakfast.
