Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.

Matzo Ball Soup - Great!

Katzingers may not have the very best matzo ball soup I have ever had, but this is Columbus OH and the matzo ball soup was / is delicious. When ever I am sick with the flu or cold, I stop by Katzingers for a quart of Jewish Penicillin. The corned beef is also a delicious sandwich. One might... read more

Albeit a little expensive, this Deli has an amazing and comprehensive menu and is as good as any you can find in New York City.

The roast beef sandwich is great and so is the corn beef as witnessed by the lines to order. Like the atmosphere too. also many imported cheeses. Once saw a confused kid stick his whole hand in the pickle barrel.

This place is famous as President Clinton visited it. It does reek of the Jewish Deli vibe. We live within a few blocks of it and have visited many times. However, I do feel there are better deli's close by. Don't get me wrong, everything is always freshly made, with many selections on their menu. It is most definitely pricey... More

The place has been in German Village forever, and you can get the same sandwich today as the one that made them famous in the beginning. Sure it's expensive, but it is great. For another much more reasonable, yet similar sandwich, try the Brown Bag. It's a little corner place with simple and good lunch.

Myself and two other travelers happened upon this Gem of a deli while staying in downtown Columbus Ohio. It's like a step back in time. I've never seen so many options on a menu board. Walking in the door, the smell of pickles hit me and I was surprised after ordering my selection that there wasn't a pickle on my... More

Terrific, authentic, corned beef and pastrami. Eatin or take out. Great artisan bread, albiet expensive. Barrels of pickles. Lots of "named" sandwich combos to choose from or create your own.

Fantastic deli complete with smoked fish, great pastrami and some of the best knishes we have ever had. Really delicious chopped chicken livers. And the pickles . . .brought back memories of New York.

This is a must visit in Columbus. They have the best Ruben I have ever had as well as complimentary dill pickles with sandwich purchase. The menu is incredibly large with more options than I can remember. I will be back.
