Description: Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.

We went for lunch on Sunday and had no trouble getting in. I got the rueban (small, who needs a large?) and my wife got #76 sandwich on a hoagie roll. The rueban was delicious but the bread on her sandwich was so tough we ended up pulling the meat out and eating it alone. I also got a potato... More

One of the best places in Columbus to eat. I highly recommend going they have too much selection to not find something you like. Plus there are free pickles.

Stopped in for a Reuben sandwich. Their Number 1 on the sandwich board. The corned beef is a lean as you will find in the country. The sour kraut is fresh and very tasty. If you are in Columbus for just a day. This deli is a good bet for a fast food alternative.

This places makes the best sandwiches ever. I have no idea how they can pack that much flavor into a sandwich but they for sure succeed. And they have over a hundred different options, how many places can say that? They have a huge variety of sides to choose from and they sell loaves of bread as well. If you're... More

My friend took me here and we split one of the best Reubens I've ever had. They have a vat of whole pickles which I passed on. Located in German Village with a varied selection of meat and cheese, everything you'd expect in a family- run business

I've been eating and taking out/catering from Katzinger's since the 80's. Very high quality and large selection. Personnel are always pleasant and competent. Complimentary pickles are really tasty. The all-day hash is reliably excellent. Always a top choice for delis-restaurants in the entire Midwest.

Got a ruben, chips, and a pickle. All was very good. Didn't do any shopping in the deli store, but everything looked good. There was even a larger and never seating area than I expected.

First time visitor to Katzinger's the other day. On the plus side it's got atmosphere, a large variety of offerings and great, fresh pickles (dill and garlic) that you get to pluck out of the barrel yourself. On the negative side I thought the food was fairly ordinary, definitely overpriced and slowwwww in being delivered to the table. There are... More

We went in on a weekday afternoon (around lunchtime) and while the counter line moves quickly, we had to wait 20+ minutes afterwards for our (to go) sandwich to be made. So don't go expecting a quick turnaround. That said, the sandwich was delicious, as were the housemade pickles (complimentary with a sandwich), and the table turnover was quick enough... More

Katzinger's Deli has been in Columbus for years. Located downtown on in the German Village area on S Third Street. Katzinger's has a Menu Board with dozens of sandwiches. There is a variety of cold side dished and desert selections. Be sure to try the homemade pickles that are free with a purchase. They have two big barrels full, one... More
