Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.

Great Food- Overpriced

I love the food here, the sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Very fresh and well prepared. Serving sizes are pretty good too. I believe a president or two have eaten here as well. Definitely worth a stop in. However, the high prices keep me from going there more frequently. At almost $12 for a... read more

The ONLY real deli in Columbus (German Villate), though others try to claim that title. Sandwiches come in two sizes, with an extensive menu, plus matzo ball soup, blintzes, rugelah, and other deli goodies.

If you are looking for an authentic deli meal stop by Katzingers. They are a traditional deli restaraunt seving all of the old classic sandwiches, salads and bakery items. I have not found better pastrami anywhere in Columbus. The sandwiches are large and quite filling. Pickles right from the barrel are a treat too. Save a little room for the... More

Very good. Been here several times and always love it. The pastrami is excellent, free pickles by the bucket, always busy. My only complaint is that the sandwiches seam light on the meat. You can pay more $$ to get extra pastrami --- but I think they use it as a joke because my sandwich was even thinner than usual.

I chose to give this place 4 out of 5 stars, even though I was under impressed with the corned beef. I've eaten a lot of corned beef and the best I've EVER eaten was Slyman's in Cleveland. I even went as far as NYC to try to outdo Slyman's, and the big names couldn't even touch it. I had... More

This excellent deli is half a block off of I-70 in a charming historic neighborhood. Sandwiches aren't cheap but they are loaded with meat and the bread is outstanding. Stretch your legs and walk down the street 3 blocks to Stauf's for coffee.

I ate there twice during a recent stay; one time was not enough... Great sandwiches, excellent cheesecake, homemade pickles, and friendly staff. It is no wonder why it is an institution. I will definitely go back when I return to Columbus.

Matt and I had lunch here on Saturday. We arrived early, about 11:15, which was good because I would hate to think how long we would have had to wait for our food had we been later. They have an enormous number of specialty sandwiches, or you can make up your own. Our sandwiches were great. Matt had the roast... More

Homemade chicken salad, applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, honeycup mustard on rye. Awesome sandwich with a pickle from the famous pickle barrel... actually found myself unable to eat the entire sandwich because it was so huge! One sandwich = two meals if you can agree on your selection. Can't wait to go again to try another sandwich.
