This is our absolute favorite restaurant. We have been regulars for several years. At this point, we have tried pretty much every item on the menu (not exaggerating). We visit on every birthday and never once have had a bad meal or experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful and food is excellent. Also it has a very casual atmosphere especially near the fireplace in the winter. I suggest everyone try it at least once, because you will be back.

We found this to be an excellent restaurant -- a bit pricey but they gave a good amount of food for the money. Would highly recommend!

By far, this is my absolute favorite restaurant. They are quietly tucked in the corner of a shopping center but inside awaits a whole new world. The service is exceptional...every time. And the food? The service and the food at J. Gilberts are outstanding. The oysters (appetizers) are terrific and blue cheese chips (I forget what they are called) were surprisingly good. The decor was very nice, the staff was professional and personable, the food was excellent. I was lucky to find this restaurant last year and ate here two of my three night stay in the area last week. Filets are excellent. The potatoes au gratin are about the best you'll find anywhere. Shrimp cocktail as an appetizer is very good. Servers are attentive. On-line reservations were no hassle.

I was in Columbus and went to JAlexanders and had a dry salmon dinner. I decided to try J. Gilberts which I never heard of before. The steak was to die for.
