Birthday dinner

Atmosphere was amazing and we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited to be seated. It was very chic and all of our selections were delectable. The scallops were incredibly tender and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. Had a wonderful night under the basi garden lights.

Our dinner at Basi was amazing. The food and service were superb! I recommend the eggplant. Next time I would like to dine outside on the patio.

It may not have a lot of square footage, but it makes up with big personality and food that requires a standing ovation. This quaint and cozy restaurant is tucked away in Victorian Village amongst beautiful old homes and provides loads of charm. When they tell you that the secret ingredient to any good Italian meal is love, Basi provides... More

Before a play we got together at Basi Italia for dinner. There were six of us. Dave, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and he made recommendations we took and we were very happy. My husband had the short ribs which was a daily feature, I had the mustard crusted golden trout, the other people in our party... More

The atmosphere was wonderful on the back patio. Food? Not so hot. The biscotti that is given to customers instead of bread was dry and clung to the roof of your mouth while eating. We were disappointed that the pork chop was breaded and fried. It was tasty, but we would not have ordered it if the description stated it... More

I wasn't sure what to expect in this little house nestled in a residential neighborhood. I found a delicious meal, cozy atmosphere, and a tasty cocktail. We nibbled on some type of nutty parmesan biscotti while waiting for our dinner which came out very quickly. My meal was an Eggplant Lasagna with a glass of Red Wine - the wine... More

A reservation was made online with a note that we had hockey tickets and needed to be seated at 5:15 to be out by 6:15 or so. We arrived and were greeted by a very sweet hostess and were seated quickly at the covered patio bar area. Our server was equally nice with knowledgeable suggestions. The choices were very good... What a place!- We went with a small group to celebrate a birthday and loved, loved it- The staff was outstanding as it was the food- It is a small, cozy place in Victorian Village. The food is super fresh and waiting time just perfect- we shared the flat bread with pistachio and the pear salad (delicious) and then ordered... More

My family of four had drinks and dinner at Basi, a small restaurant on a side street near downtown Columbus. We didn't have reservations and the restaurant was full. We sat at their small bar for drinks and dinner. All the employees were super friendly and knowable about the food and drinks. We all had a Black Walnut Manhattan--incredible! Twof... More
