Outstanding Sausage

I like other reviewers must start with the creme puff. You gotta have one, two, three...etc. They are delicious. The main meal is also fabulous. I had the Bahama Mama sausage and it was delicious. The food I have had at Schmidt's is above and beyond delicious. I have had multiple items off the menu but my favorite is always the bahama mamma, kraut and mustard, German potato salad and a cream puff for desert. Now that the food truck for Schmidt's parks down the street on Thursday and Friday I am able to grab... More

1st, dessert ... the cream puff is to die for! The buffet is good. All the food there is great. It's a must to eat there if you are looking for a place to try. Another place you maybe waiting a while to get your food, but very worth it.

I was just here over the weekend. It was busy but the wait was minimal. All of out party had the buffet, which was quite good but small. It was composed mostly of sausage which was different but not disappointing. The beer I had was quite good as well. The atmosphere was lively although the place is not really baby... More

Never been a huge fan of German food but I could become one at this place. Been there twice and it was packed both times which is a testimony to the quality. Also, fun atmosphere and great service.

We arrived a little after 5 on a Saturday and did not have to wait to be seated. We had the buffet; everything in it was very good. The sausages were excellent, and it was fun to try the different types. The kids were happy with the buffet, also. They liked the mac and cheese and the brats. The best... More

Schmidts is a must if you are in Columbus. The food is amazing, the atomsphere is pretty cool and it is a meal that you cannot get just anywhere. They have been around forever which should tell you how good they are. If you are in the area this is a must.

We had heard good things about this restaurant and we were not disappointed. My husband and I both ordered the Weiner Schnitzel, but we each chose different sides. I had red cabbage and potato pancakes while he had German hot potato salad. The gravy was served on the side, so the veal cutlets' breading stayed crisp. The meat was tender... More

We got there and were told we had a two hour wait for a group our size. The pleased us at the start when the worked us in a little over an hour later. Our server was outstanding and, while not the hugest fan of German cuisine, I found their dishes to be great (as did the rest of our... More

Be ready to feast on all kinds of brats and sausages, with several variations on cabbage (corn beef and cabbage, coleslaw, sourkraut, red cabbage and apples, and other salads) We chose the lunch buffet for a sampling of the sauges, salads, and stew. They also offered a hot potato salad--excellent! This was a very nice place, with a reasonably priced... More
