Really good sausages.

Great German fare. Bahama mama was perfect blend of spices and seasoning. Everything else was good as well. The little gift/candy shops adjacent to are good to kill time while waiting to get in. Only thing I didn't think was as advertised was the creampuffs. First off they are huge, secondly they... read more

Quaint street location in Germantown (?) with narrow brick streets that go here and there. Food was tremendous and portions large. Buffet had oodles of wursts. Oompah Band was perfect touch. Wait staff was outstanding.

Food and atmosphere were outstanding. Third time there and never disappointed. Came in with friends. Everybody was satisfied with food service and brew.

This restaurant is tucked in a hidden corner along Kossuth in atmospheric German Town where the two floor dwellings are constructed with bricks, lending a wonderful feeling of uniqueness of the neighbourhood that cannot be rivalled elsewhere in the U.S. This restaurant, in business since 1886, is located at a small bend of the street, and nearby is the Schmidt's... We tried the sausage smpler platter on our first visit. Excellent warn German potato salad, fresh applesauce, delicious sour kraut and 4 half links of their types of sausage. On the second visit we tried the buffett, it was good, but the sausages were slightly better when freshly prepared. We actually bought two packages to take home! Their Polaner Heffeweisen... More

I came here with a group of 5 last September. The food was good, but not great. The service unfortunately wasn't very friendly, but I guess that's a German thing?

My friend from the area had been after me to try this restaurant and it didn't let me down. I'd probably give it a 4 1/2 rating if that were available. The buffet was terrific with a number of different sausages. I liked the Bahama Mama the best but it really isn't that spicy. The sausage stew was a nice... More

About twice a year my family eats at this restaurant and my most recent trip left me wondering what went wrong. In the past there were long waits and long lines. We were OK with this because in the past once we were inside the food was very good and the wait staff attentive. This trip, there were only three... More

We drive from Marietta, GA to Middleburg Hts, Oh in one day and back the same way. We stop for the buffet on the way up and are never disappointed in the food, just that we can not eat more. We got there around 5:30 on a Friday and it was already pretty well packed. Within 15 minutes, there were... More

Passing through columbus, I checked trip advisor and found this place. Growing up in Germany, I had to try it. I'm glad we did The Bahama momma didn't bring back any memories of Germany, but the German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut sure did! Everything was great, and the cream puffs topped everything off just nicely. Absolutely recommend Schmidt s... More
