I think this place is more in line for vegetarians with few good choices of dogs on the menu. Their dogs still have the wrap on them. The beans didn't taste that great. The price was higher than I'd expect here.

Being a vegan for a few years and not eating beef for many, I haven't had a hot dog in ages. A co-worker took me here knowing my food preferences and I definitely liked it. There are several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu so don't let the name turn you off. Good change of pace. Being from Chicago,... More

This is the only good thing I'll write about in this janky place. Never mind how much I want to leave this town, but the one thing I'll miss is grabbing a hotdog or two from Dirty Frank's when your'e just craving something good and comforting..this is your typical local hole in the wall place. You gotta know it to... More

I took my two (older) teenage daughters to Dirty Franks while in Columbus, Ohio. It us very difficult to find a place that equally satisfies both vegetarians and meatlovers and that I can afford. This place was wonderful! Practically everything could be made with either protein and there was many, many options. All dogs could be standard grocery style, bratwurst,... More

Wife and I visited this little hole in the wall just off of E. Main and were not disappointed. From the mismatched tables and chairs to the delaminating menus to the 5 or so tables besides the counter, it was the type of place I remember after a concert or ball game in my beloved STL. Only this was in... More

We went there because we like hot dogs and always try to find new sources. Saw several reviews that highly recommended this place and warned about the wait. Usually I don't like to wait but I was prepared for it this time. The only problem, this place is not any better than Sonic as far as the hot dogs are... More

I'm torn between wanting visitors to love Columbus and not wanting longer waits at Dirty Franks. Dirty Franks is a great representative of our quirky little midwestern city. The food is not mindblowing--hot dogs with lots of different toppings--but it's tasty and a great deal of fun. Lots of great choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. there are so... More

Dined here Sunday night with friends. The restaurant is super small and crowded. The menus look like they have been through a war. The tables were not very clean. Our waiter, who was also the bartender, was surly (and that is being nice.) The restaurant has the atmosphere of a run down sports bar, and yet, although the World Cup... More

I have been a fan of Dirty Franks for many years and have had dogs at both of their locations. I just took my nephew last week and he loved the place so much that he was asking to come back the next week before we left the place. I try to have something different every time I am there... More

I am very grateful that this restaurant exists - I was at a conference a few blocks away and most of the other dining options in the area close early or over-charge you. Dirty Frank's is different - the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and it was great value for the price. I liked it... More
