Good, but not as homemade as they let on.

I used to work for a sister company next door, and got word that they don't make everything from scratch like they would have you think... They serve some prepared/institutionalized type foods. Not all, but some. I love the place, don't get me wrong. I just wanted to throw that out there.

Our entire group was disappointed as we were expecting to have the same high level of quality and service as their neighboring hotel. We discovered after our meals that Das Dutch Haus Restaurant has Separate owners from Das Dutch Village. The pie was excellent, but I'm not sure I would return for just the pie.

Throughout Southern Ohio there are large Mennonite & Amish restaurants with excellent home-style foods; this is NOT one of them. Oh... it looks like one, has plenty of Mennonite women working there (complete with hair bonnets), and twenty years ago used to have really good food but... no more. The food is now absolute garbage; old, refrigerated, NASTY. We as... More

I went to this restaurant only for the salad bar. The selection was average as compared to others I have been to. They have two salad bars parallel to each other but it is located in an area where everyone travels such as the entrance and kitchen areas. This is a very large restaurant therefore it gets quite congested as... More

I had heard about this restaurant for quite a few years before we moved to this area. Have been there on a few occassions, once with an out of town guest, and once with my husband. All of us agreed that the service is good, but the food itself wasn't anything special, just your normal Denny's, Bob Evans, etc. fare.

It has a homey appearance for this restaurant that started in 1948 . The original owners have either died or retired. The new owner has kept the old traditions comprising of old fashioned stews, hearty breakfasts, quite a selection on an extensive menu. It has many waitresses who have been tehre for periods of time, some over 25 years of... More

The very best food you'll find anywhere. Amish cooking at its finest. The place is very clean, and the staff is wonderful. There is a bakery with all sorts of goodies too. It also has a cute little gift shop in the entrance. We (2 of us) had creamed turkey/biscuits, cabbage rolls and 2 salad/soup bars for under $30. More... More

We hosted a family dinner to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday and our son and daughter in law's first wedding anniversary. Mindy, our waitress, was fabulous. She was attentive and sweet. She kept our drinks filled and brought us to go boxes at the end. The food at Das Dutch Haus is plentiful and home cooked. We ordered two small... More

We have visited Das Dutch Haus many times. It is best described as a large scale family restaurant. The food is very basic, nothing fancy, but always delicious. Expect to wait 5 to 15 minutes on most Saturday's, but they move people quickly through the line. Note that they are closed on Sunday's. My wife and I both had the... More
