Grilled Cheese Mecca

I've never seen so many grilled cheese variations on a single menu. Melt has options for everyone, even picky eaters. The portions are overwhelmingly large and the staff is nice. I would definitely return!

Interesting place to eat. The atmosphere is quite unique with a wall of drawings representing many historical and popular people. The menu is just as unique with everything requiring cheese melted in someway. The food was good but a bit pricey. Gourmet Grilled Cheese is about $7. The real benefit for us was that they were open late. Another night... More

The menu is diverse. Mostly variations of grilled cheese, if you can call them that. Food was good, large portions. Reasonably priced. Neighborhood looks like it's undergoing some redevelopment.

We'd heard about Melt from friends, so we decided we had to try it. The concept is intriguing, for sure. When we walked in and saw the plethora of reviews from local and national media, we figured we were in for quite a treat. Maybe those reviews are tough to live up to. We started with fried macaroni and cheese... More

Beer selection (draft & bottle) is very good. The sandwiches are OK but not great. The cheeses are ordinary quality and as these are the stars of a grilled cheese restaurant. I would have expected better. You don't get any bread choices so you will be eating thickly sliced Texas toast. Fries were OK but not crisp like I like... More

The food was very good and the portions were huge. Everything looked good. I went with the buffalo chicken and my girlfriend got the jalapeño popper sandwich. Both were awesome and everything else we saw looked good. Get there early though we went at an off time and still had a 30 minute wait so we just ate at the... More

Get there early because you get to pick a name out of a hat (instead of a number to be put on a wait list). We only waited for maybe 20-30 minutes bu were able to look at all of the paraphernalia along the walls and some of their merchandise. The staff couldn't have been nicer or funnier, they really... If you're hungry and not alone, you probably would like to eat with friends and family out. And then you'd like to have some diversity. So in Melt, everything is basically bread toasted with something. There is no other option. Big variety. but it all boils down to the same concept and we didn't like any of the dishes we... More

Fantastic sandwiches all around. It seems like a no-brainer that cheese sandwiches would be good. But these things were exceptional. I also enjoyed the extensive beer list on tap. Service was good, and interesting atmosphere. If ever in the area again, I'll definitely make a point to return.

I ordered the monte crisco sandwich and it was AMAZING! I also ordered some type of berry mimosa which wasn't all that great. I'm used to mimosa's coming in champagne glasses but this one just came in a regular short bar glass and really wasn't that tasty.
