Fried Bologna Sandwich

Our concierge at the Ritz said this was Cleveland's best for lunch. Nice space, attentive staff and original offerings. Pork belly appetizer was very good and fried bologna sandwich (though messy because of the fried egg on top) was very good. All very good--though was hoping for excellent.

Went with a big group. Our waitress Aurora was delightful. It's hard to wait on tables that are large and have many requests. Aurora handled it with finesse, and she even had a great sense of humor to boot!

This place is the flagship restaurant of the well known chef Michael Symon and is considered one of Cleveland's best. For lunch I had the Pork Belly Salad, which was delicious, and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I figured it takes guts not only to offer such a sandwich on the menu of such an upscale joint, but also to order... More

I saw Michael Symon on tv and had an upcoming trip to Cleveland, so I figured "let's go!". After reading some of the most recent reviews here, I was managing my expectations, but Lola blew them all away. This review is from the perspective of a couple that doesn't go to fine dining restaurants incredibly often but we appreciate going... More

This restaurant is nice. I liked the atmorphare , staff was professional. Good wine selection and the fish dish was owesome. I will go there again.

I was super excited to eat here but left a little disappointed. I had several appetizers, and they were all - ok. Nothing that blew me away, nothing that left me talking about the experience. The cocktails were good but small, the plates sounded good on paper but lacked flavor on the table.

Menu is so limited - 1 pasta dish, 1 chicken dish, only 2 fish dishes ... just very limited in choices. My one client is a vegetarian and with only 1 pasta dish, there really was nothing for him to eat. I know that there is an argument in favor of "few items done well", but I think Lola failed... Had dinner at Lola with a group from work recently and was overall very pleased with my experience. We started out with the bone marrow and oysters. None of us had ever had bone marrow before but were eager to try it. It was super rich, but very tasty. The oysters were amazing. I ordered the halibut for my meal... More

Michael Simon rocks. He knows how to create atmosphere and interesting, mouth watering food. Lola has the location that can't be beat and food that's worth the price. A must stop if visiting Cleveland.
