Fine dining true chef-style without being overly fancy and pretentious

Fantastic food. The kind of amazingly well designed recipes and well prepared dishes you expect from a top-notch chef's restaurant. The kind of thing that's definitely fancy enough for it to be a date-night kind of thing or vacation treat kind of thing. But it's not the kind of thing that you're... read more

We grabbed a table on Open Table on short notice and were able to get a table at the time with no issue. This was a weekday lunch that started with Ice Tea, which was excellent. Maybe an Assam blend. Nice alternative if you cannot have alcohol on your visit. I had the fried chicken and my wife had the... More

I never had beef cheeks in my life. Lola make beef cheek pierogis with creme fresh that are the most precious pieces of heaven you will eat. And my nephew is the GM so on occasion I get to test taste new things that will be on the menu. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOLA!!!

Came here for a pre-game Dinner. I had the beef and a Tiramisu for desert. Both were delicious. Service was very friendly. Would definitely come again.

One of the great assets a restaurant can have is employees who know the menu and have knowledge of the wine list. A couple of great bartenders gave a good wine reco in Taken. Solid wine reasonable price. Then offered the steak as a choice and wow it didn't disappoint. Chunks of perfectly cooked steak with a nice taste to... More

So, yes, the restaurant has great service, a great floorplan, and is very up-to-date. But the food (why we go to a restaurant) was generally unremarkable. Yeah, the pork jowl appetizers were different, and perhaps a novelty for Cleveland in the 21st Century, but they were not remarkable. In fact the whole meal - 3 of us - was straight-forward.... We came here for dinner after an Indians game. Service at the bar was great, even though they ran out of the wine we were drinking. Loved the fried bone marrow it was the highlight of our night.

My friends and I (6 of us total) spent the evening at Lola for New Year's Eve last night..... It was a set price of $108 per person and we thought it was definitely worth it. You could pick entrees, appetizers and dessert with a really good glass of champagne......I like that it wasn't a set menu where you had... More

This was my second visit to Lola and it did not disappoint. My husband and I made reservations via OpenTable. It was very busy when we first got there because of the pre-Cavs game crowd but the noise was not unpleasant... As a Clevelander, it just makes me happy to see Downtown restaurants busy!! We ordered cocktails and the bratwurst... More

The ambiance of walking down E 4th is really quite warm during the holiday season. Had drinks first at the bar which was no fuss, however the bar area is quite small and situated right in the lobby. No big deal, but I could see it getting packed during a crowded night. Reservations earlier than 17:30 were unavailable, which is... More
