I have long awaited the opportunity to dine at Lola in Cleveland. Tonight I had that chance. I must say it was not all I had hoped it would be. We knew from the start that this would not be an inexpensive evening. We had no issue with that as this has been on my "bucket list " for quite... More

My wife and I had an anniversary dinner at Lola and were very impressed with the service, from beginning to the end of the meal every person was very attentive. Food was good as well with exception of lobster appetizer but to counterbalance the Crispy Pig Ears were to die for. Main course we had Lamb and Pork Rib both... More

This restaurant is all about the food and drink. It's a beautiful place as bistros go and the staff is nice and knowledgable. However, it can be loud and the staff can miss the mark for an establishment of this caliber. For example, my wife and I noticed the tables along the back wall. They were all two tops very... More

There is a huge glass wall above the huge bar showing hundreds of bottles of the wine cellar. The restaurant is on a street closed to the cars, with lots of corporate restaurants. The bar counter is lit from below, which looks really good. They serve individual small loaves of warm sourdough bread, which is very rare and very much appreciated. The bar... More

Michael Symon is not one for vegetarian food, but I appreciate that he has several great vegetarian options on his menu. I just wish I was more blown away. My salad was very fresh and nicely dressed. The lunchtime half salad-half sandwhich options were a nice touch: I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was thin... More

We've heard so much about Michael Simon and my husband wanted to try his restaurant and we were not disappointed. GREAT food and such good service. Make reservations and allow enough time to find a parking space on a nearby street as there is no parking on the street where Lola's is located. Surely worth trying and we'd go back.

My mom and I came to Lola for after-dinner drinks (after leaving The Chocolate Bar in our hotel when we sat down and opened disgustingly sticky menus). We came in, and immediately asked the staff at the host stand where the bathroom was, as we'd just come from another bar and needed to wash our hands. We told them about... More

Finally had a chance to eat at the bar. Quality bar service thanks AJ. I ordered the rib steak after a very decent beet salad. The steak had nice flavor but not completion to other real good steak houses with a better price point. I think on the road people would not rate this place much better than 3 but... More

The rib-eye was great! Our server was very professional. We will be back! The bar across the street had great jazz and wonderful craft cocktails!
