My husband and I are from Arizona. When we moved to Ohio from the west, one of the things we missed out on was good Mexican food. I'm sorry, but who puts white american cheese in Mexican food? Then we found Momocho. Higher-end, more authentic, closer to what we were used to coming from Arizona. We have not had anything... More

My friends recommended this place to me and I thought I would give it a try. When it comes to Mexican food I look for unlimited chips salsa and at least some of the basic dishes like burritos, chimichangas, and enchiladas, which were not to be found here. This place is more of a high end hole in the wall... More

After reading many great reviews and seeing that it was then rated in the top restaurants of Cleveland, my husband and I decided to give it a shot. We did make reservations for the Saturday night and although we called almost a week in advance, the only time slots available were 5pm and after 8:30pm. We took the 5pm reservation... More

This place is trying to be trendy. Small portions and high prices. We had the $14 shrimp entree and it came with 5 pieces of shrimp. The pork tamale was flavorful but not large. The guacamole was the best item we had but who wants to fill up with chips and guacamole. The worst part was a dinner for 4... More

Tried to call for a reservation, they were booked. They did accept walk-ins. It was an hour wait (on a Saturday), but worth it! We had the wild boar and chicken pomegranate entrees and they were superb.

New to Cleveland, saw Momocho featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, and had to try it! Everything was great, but I can highly recommend the goat cheese guac, the Machaca and the tamales.. YUM. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I tried getting in on a Friday night and they were fully booked through Saturday. Went early Sunday with... More

You have to go to Momocho. Be prepared to wait a while for a table but it will no doubt be worth it. This is an intimate, special dining experience, whether it's your first time here or your fiftieth. Everything on the menu, from the drinks to the appetizers to the taquitos are sheer perfection. Particular favorites are the margarita... More

A colleague and I grabbed dinner at Momocho while in Cleveland for a conference this past week. We had read the reviews but were still surprised to find a line forming at 4:45pm on a Tuesday afternoon (they open at 5). We were seated quickly by a friendly staff. The restaurant is sort of "trendy bar scene." It would be... More

Wife and I went for our 28th anniversary. Sat at the chef's table upstairs. Wonderful, unique Mexican food. Great guacamole and margaritas. Had an appetizer of "crispy fried pig tails" that was great. VERY unique menu.
