I was hoping for Bobby/Mario quality here, but Mike delivered just an above average experience. (maybe great for Cleveland, but average for NYC) App starter of "piranha" cheese was just a huge mound of cheese covered with olive oil, basil, tomatoes with crispy bread: I was eating alone and this was enough for 4 people, tasted good but a waste... Let me begin with a disclaimer: I ate here because I'm a fan of Michael Symon. I've watched him for years on dozens of shows, and I particularly enjoyed his reign as Iron Chef. The guy just has a great approach to food: simplicity and fresh ingredients. But underneath that veneer, there's a highly trained chef who understands food (and... More

Suggested by clients, whom we were in town to visit. Nice farm-to-table-pub-like atmosphere. Outstanding hummus, great sides (try the Brussels sprouts). Good pizzas. The waitstaff handled our large party and chaotic ordering with aplomb. Two caveats: The food is REALLY SALTY - saltier than most, even - and don't expect to have a quiet conversation here; the joint is noisy.

A simply divine meal was had by a group of 6 of us. For me, I probably had the best chicken dish I've ever had. 2 in the group had the pork chop which they proclaimed a winner. The atmosphere is funky cool but a bit loud. I really liked the location as it I understood it was a former... More

Being unable to get a reservation at Lola, we opted instead for its little sister, Lolita---we were not disappointed. Although a smaller menu than Lola, there are choices to please anyone. We arrived for a 6 pm reservation on a Saturday night and were delighted to find that the well-priced Happy Hour menu was still in effect, so we ordered... More

Lolita has simply great food. The wait can be long on the weekends, but it is worth it. The food is of the level you expect to see in NYC or SF, but at Cleveland prices and in a much more down to earth setting.

Fun foodie find while on business travel in Cleveland. If I had to come back to Cleveland, I would either return to this restaurant or Michael Symon's Lola location. I loved the interior, great atmosphere (loud and "happening"). Several of us ordered various dishes, and truthfully it was enough to go around and share from chicken liver appetizer to pea... More

A group of us were in Cleveland and this was one of the recommended restaurants. Made reservations for dinner, showed up 5 minutes before, but was told our table was still occupied. No room at the bar to wait with a drink, no problem. Since there was no room inside, we waited outside. 15 minutes later, still no table. The... More

This was a great date night. We really enjoyed the restaurant and the neighborhood it is in. The service was great, she knew a lot about the short, but detailed menu. The food was good, as was the beer. We weren't disappointed! Great choice if you are visiting Cleveland.

Located in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, this restaurant has a small but interesting menu. Ordered the Crispy Chicken Livers with mushroom and bacon for starters. The main course of Grilled Quail arrived about 11/2 hours later. Very tender quail, seasoned to hide the "gamey" taste. The large wine list consisted of many imported selections. The overall service was a... More
