We had a lovely dinner here, steaks were fabulous and had a romantic both to sit in that was very private. Staff did a great job.
We to enjoy a favorite place before it closed its doors but was disappointed...Not sure if server was upset about the restaurant closing but acted as if that was the case. I ordered the Cobb Salad and other diner had the French Onion soup & 1/2 turkey sandwich. Not good. Worse later on that afternoon. Service was poor: a pint... More
We have been dining at JQ's for over 20 years. Now living in NY, but back in Cleveland 20+ times a year and always visit John Q's. The food is the best in Cleveland, and the service is nothing short of phenomenal. Rick, Elaina and Dawn really know customer service. Hopefully, Rick will reopen in the area...
Just found out this week listening to a radio station. The owner was on an mentioned that he will be closing his doors - on Saturday, June 15, 2013....so, if you have not been, run as fast as you can to enjoy one of their wonderful meals and tremendous customer service...John Q's you will be missed.
We needed a quick meal between meetings. The waiter was quick to take our order. The burger was very tasty. One of the people in my group ordered onion rings - they were outstanding and one order was enough for our group of 8!
they burnt my food and did not care. I tell everyone who asks me about the place as I am a concierge in a major 4 star hotel in Cleveland and have been for over 10 years. IK have told lots of people

\My wife and I went to John Q's on April 20, 2013. We arrived about 8:30pm. We ordered a dinner of pork chops and an 8oz filet which we let our server know we going to split. The bread was delicious, so was the salad. Our steak and chops were cooked perfectly. I found the steamed spinach a bit salty,... More
We had a group of ten there for lunch, the service was great, they had no problem breaking the bills down individually. The atmosphere was great. Lots of old pictures and memorabilia. The menu had lots of choices. The food was good, not the Cleveland chop house but good
Waitress was horrible. She NEVER checked on us. When she served our food and did not say one word, or ask if we needed anything. I had been waiting for another glass of wine for 20 minutes. I had to ask the hostess to get me a glass of wine. The waitress came to the table afterwards and was rude.... More
