Good but not great

Visited for a weeknight dinner. We enjoyed two orders of veggie samosa with lots of chutney, a Maharaja Biryani, Chicken Keema (which is no longer on the menu but they made it for us anyway), a couple of orders of garlic naan and a rice pudding. Service was pleasant and efficient. We were a bit... read more

Saffron Patch catered the food for the party for 110 people almost 3 hours away. The food was delicious, the trained staff served the food nicely. The staff worked well with the hotel staff. The owner was constantly in touch and on top of everything. We are still getting the compliments about the good food and good service.

Reviews were hit or miss but we decided to try Saffron Patch. We came on a Sunday night and they have a vegetarian buffet. We both got the buffet but also ordered 2 chicken dishes. Buffet was okay at best - good selection with 5 or 6 dishes. Paneer was very dense though. All dishes lacked flavor and spice. The... More

Visited on a snowy, cold Thursday night for carryout. Food was ready after a 2 minute wait when I arrived which assured that it was fresh from the kitchen. 2 samosas with a couple of containers of coriander chutney were cooked perfectly and the chutney was a a bit spicy, just right. Chicken kheema spice level 2 was just a tad... More

Six friends get together periodically to sit, eat, talk and enjoy each others company. We sat at a round table to facilitate conversation. The food was plentiful and reasonable in price. It could be ordered to meet anyones spicey taste buds by selecting a number for the "heat". The higher the number the hotter the sauce. The combination appetizers provided... More

Visited Saffron on 28th Oct 2014 and found food quiet good. I had very limited expectation but it was really good in the end.

I went with an Indian colleague, so the ‘discriminating scale’ was a bit higher than if it was just me. We started with the veggi pakoda and samosa. Both were very good, not at all greasy. For dinner we had Lamb Korma and veg dish, Malai Kofta. Both were very good, if not excellent. My colleague ordered three breads, naan... More

I visited this place today after about 2/3 months. It was never my favourite Indian place, but today it ensured that I will try my best to avoid this place in future 1. Biryani was no where close to what it is supposed to be 2. Appetizers (Non-Veg) didnt seem to be full cooked 3. All gravies seemed to have... More

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The last time I went there I was disappointed. I went back again today to give it another try. Something has changed. The food just doesn't taste good anymore. I ordered malai kofta off the menu because I did not like the taste of food on the buffet. My wife did... More

Saffron Patch has been a favorite among Clevelanders for years and often caters for various Indian events and weddings. The food is great and service is good. Owner George Stamos is very personable and always making sure everything is perfect. The only downside is the restaurant is located in an office building lower level which is difficult to find. There... More
