When it comes to Eastern European or German food I am a fan. We hit Sterle's Slovenian Country House for lunch. The menu was very limited but the Weiner Schnitzel (veal - not pork as so many are) and Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches were excellent. We ordered strudel for dessert which was also very tasty. The only problem we had was... More

We had our Slovenian family reunion for almost 50 people on a Saturday night in a private room next to the beer garden. After Slovenian wine and beer in the garden (nothing fancy but worked perfectly for our crowd) we went inside. Even though we were way off our schedule the staff waited patiently and then promptly served everyone quickly.... More

German food is a little different and we were very tired by the time we got here. Food was nicely presented looked very good, taste was a little different from southern food were use too but it was good. Service was wonderful and when our waitress found out we were from so far away (Alabama) she brought us out a... More

My friend and I love to pick somewhere from our Ethnic Eats book and we found this restaurant and decided to give it a try! What a great lunch! Service was knowledgeable, friendly and really fast. With help from the waitress we decided on the Wiener schnitzel and Chicken paprikash. We started with the soup and salad bar and this... More

We took a small group to Sterle's for Easter dinner. It was my first time there and although I heard the quality of the food had declined since the new owner took over, I decided to give it a try. I really wanted to like it because I love German and Czech food -- it's a huge part of my... More

Very filling and tasty food. Had clam & corn chowder and wienerschnitzel with dumplings. Service was great. Would definitely come back. Neighborhood is not the greatest; don't know if I would come back for an evening meal.

We were here for a birthday dinner and enjoyed the old world flavor. The chicken noodle soup is a must, and the wienerschnitzel was a common request for half our group. The chicken paprikash was a different style than we are accustomed, more of a brothy stew than a cream base. The service was attentive, however the server preferred to... More

We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday night and we were told the reservations would fill every seat and the desk attendant stated that he really couldn't say for sure how long it would take. (I appreciated his honesty) My husband having been there for lunch on many occasions asked if we could sit at the bar and eat. Absolutely... More

Is this a gourmet restaurant? No. Is this a Michelin restaurant? No. Is it way better than any chain restaurant, absolutely. Come with a large group of friends, order family style at $20/pp, and you'll be overwhelmed with food. The portions are large, and it's not the best wienerschnitzel you've ever had, but it's good. Without a doubt, the sausage... More
