Great meal after a long trip

Heard about this one on Diners Drivins and Dives. It lived up to its reputation. We happened to go on a very very quiet night so this big empty space was a little echo-y. The meal was very good. I like pierogis but know how many calories they are so I asked for just one for a taste.and they... read more

Another Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives restaurant off my list. Came for lunch and the service was great. The ladies were so attentive. Pierogies with a side of stuffed cabbage was delicious. They even gave me a potato pancake with apple sauce for free. Also when the server learned I had a daughter at the Cleveland Clinic she packed me up... More

I have been to many authentic ethnic restaurants and this one is very good. It is in a hidden part of Cleveland that you have to hunt for but it is worth it! The building looks like it has been around forever and adds to the authentic charm. The inside looks like an Eastern European chalet with dark paneling and... More

We went during the afternoon after the lunch hour with a 2 year old and had a great time. The food stayed pretty authentic to northern old Yugoslavia and the portions were generous. The soup was really good (reminded me of a family recipe from Slovenia), and the Wiener Schnitzel was hands down the best I've ever had. Service was... More

We had been here many years ago and were looking forward to a great meal. Very disappointing. Poor service - she didn't know what alcoholic beverages were available, forgot to bring a second round of one that she asked about twice. The meals were ordinary. Green beans had no flavoring at all. The server reminded us twice about the tip.... More

This place was very busy. It took perhaps 30-45 minutes to get seated. Once seated the service was quick to come. Food was really good. Would return if ever in Cleveland again.

I remember seeing this place when I delivered mail back in the early ‘70s, and a couple of the guys where I worked in the late 80s /early 90s would go there for lunch. There used to be a restaurant across the street called the Hofbrauhaus, pronounced HOFF BROW HOUSE which wasn’t opened at the time I visited Sterle’s but... More

We had a throughly enjoyable evening here on Polka Night. Everyone in the place was smiling, laughing and totally enjoying themselves. The food was terrific and the atmosphere even better. The portions are crazy huge, enough for another meal. Definitely recommend Sterle's.

This restaurant has been here for many years. It is a very unique Cleveland landmark. The food is eastern European, it tastes really good.
