Can't beat it!

This is the second time I've been here, but tonight was polka night and it was the best. Food as always is incredible and portions are huge. Chicken paprikash is the best and any schnitzel is a good choice. Our waitress, Josie, rocks! Makes you feel like you are family. Suggest reservations for... read more

Chose to go on Sat night during prime time dinner with no reservation, so we did have a wait of almost an hour- however, the bar is open, you can always have a beer or two while you wait, and watch the music and dancing! I heard some complaining from the people around us also waiting without reservations, but it's... More

This used to be a great place. The service is terrible (we asked for our food and the check several times before receiving it and the server was never around to take drink orders), and the food is definitely not as good as it was 5-10 years ago. Too bad

We were set near the piano player, when asked for another seat we were told it's not very loud. LIED! No one came to our table for 20 minutes. Ask for a beer came after salads 20 minutes later. No silverware and when it did come after salads it was plunked on table for us to sort with 2 napkins... More

We were told that reservations not necessary. When we got inside the restaurant hallway, it was rather crowded. We went to the hostess desk but had to wait for some body to attend. There seemed to be limited wait staff although plenty of tables empty. We were told they were trying to accommodate "Reservations" patrons first, and that it "didn't... More

We went for a family birthday dinner and the general consensus was that the food was reasonable overall, with variable assessments by different people. I thought the sausage sampler starter was very good and my main course of liver was also decent and generously portioned - the leftovers made 2 more dinners! Other diners in our group were not so... We saw them on Group On and say they have an appetizing offer of $40 for dinner for 2. It was a Saturday night and there was live polka music which was amusing. Half the place was taken up by a large birthday party for a 95 year old woman. The staff was a little slow due to the demands... More

We just made a trip to Cleveland with friends who had never been there and I wanted them to sample some authentic Cleveland ethnic food, and I found Frank Sterle's Slovenian Country House on the web and decided to stop there for lunch. We ordered appetizers of chicken noodle soup, sausage, stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage and all the food... More

When it comes to Eastern European or German food I am a fan. We hit Sterle's Slovenian Country House for lunch. The menu was very limited but the Weiner Schnitzel (veal - not pork as so many are) and Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches were excellent. We ordered strudel for dessert which was also very tasty. The only problem we had was... More
