Scallops / Cauliflower

The one time I was here I had the scallops and mashed cauliflower and I must say it was SO great! There was no way anyone would be able to tell the difference in this mashed cauliflower vs mashed potatoes. As there menu constantly changes, we always try to look every now and then to see if this is... read more

Karen Small is the best in the buisness. Her haute is always consistent, healthy and delicious. She is the consummate localavor. When I have a hankering for meat, her short ribs are to live for. It is my favorite night out.

We have been to Flying Fig on many occasions, and we always enjoy our meal there. The atmosphere is light, contemporary and casual, yet upscale. Karen always uses local products to create wonderful menu options. We enjoyed several anniversary dinners there, a wonderful New Year's Eve Dinner, and many other great meals. We recently had Sunday brunch there for the... More

OMG, words cannot express how wonderful the food was and the staff was so attentive. They really made or anniversary extra special. My boyfriend and I ordered the MOLASSES GLAZED CONFIT PORK SHOULDER SWEET POTATO PUREE, CARAMELIZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS, CIDER MAPLE REDUCTION. We've eaten at most of the high end restaurants in the Cleveland area and must say that The... More

Weekday happy hour. We shared a blue cheese burger, fries, and the crooked river pork nachos. All were great. A great glass of red and a raspberry champagne drink were $5.00 each. We will return to try a sit down dinner.

Have visited for drinks, dessert & dinner in the past. Even attended a wedding reception here. The wine selection is excellent. Great apps... love the bacon wrapped dates & the tempura green beans. Delicious pork entree & burger. Love the dark bar in the front. Try the homemade chips with wasabi dip. Bartenders are friendly and talented.

My husband and I spent a few days in Cleveland recently on a business trip. New to Cleveland, I discovered that the gentrifying Ohio City neighborhood, a short cab ride over the river from our downtown hotel,is a great place to go for lunch and dinner. The Flying Fig deserved the many good reviews it has received. The restaurant is... More

On a recent trip to Cleveland to drop my son at CWRU, constant companion and I took a late Saturday morning stroll through the Westside market neighborhood. Lot's of things happening with people enjoying the market and the outdoor music, shops, etc. We happened upon the Flying Fig and noticed they were still serving breakfast. Picked out a nice table... food is good, but not spectacular, drinks are good, but not spectacular service is good, but terribly arrogant. i've never been taken care of by such a bunch of pretentious queens. so arrogant, so above it all. if they'd get some good servers i'd probably return.
