wonderful venue and views of Cleveland, wood paneled, comfortable dining area. Don't let the cafeteria line beginning bother you, it's actually a treat to see and smell all the offerings. Salisbury steak, stuffed cabbage, chicken, pierogies, and lots of sides. Don't miss the red cabbage. Desserts were decadent. The three dining rooms are all different. One you can continue to... Lived in Cleveland for all of my 43 years but had yet to have visited Sokolowski's. Was passing by after an evening of furniture shopping with my wife and 13 year old boy. What a fun night. Food is right up my alley and reminds me of a winter Sunday afternoon as a kid. Chicken Paprikash, Stuffed Cabbage. Salisbury Steak.... More

I love this restaurant. Every time I get home, I try to get this restaurant. It is cafeteria style so pick and chose what u want. I recommend the kielbsa, creamy cucumbers and the chicken paprikash. If u like polish/czech food this is not a place to miss. When the meal is over, talk a look around. There is a... More

I say this place on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations Cleveland episode. They have a wood fire place inside so right away I was hooked. There was a huge line to get food which took about 15-20 minutes, but people are allowed to drink in line so that worked for most people. I think it was super busy the night I... More

This is authentic, home cooked Polish cuisine at its finest. It's cafeteria style and you seat yourself once you've chosen your food. They have menus along the line so that you can decide before you get up to the counter. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very homey- with nostalgic pictures adorning the walls. The place... More

Ate here on a Sat., arriving a few minutes before four pm. (Opening time.) long line waiting to get in. Did not let diners start to get food, for a least fifteen minutes. Staff frazzled, but pleasant. I had wweiner schnitzel, and my guest had pork chops. Both entrees were cold, and the breading was falling off.meat was tough and... More

Sokolowski's pierogis were good. The highlight of my lunch visit was ambiance & live piano entertainment. Fresh, seasoned green beans along with tasty smashed potatoes would be a delightful addition to pierogis. Sokolowski's website gave me a different impression than the pierogis I was served. Maybe dinner food is better.

Ate here after contemplating and anticipating this place for years. I should have saved my time. Food was terrible in a truly pedestrian atmosphere. We were run through the cafeteria line before we could take off our hats and coats! Had to put my hat on as my food was sloshed into my plate - didn't know what else to... More

First time, but have known about SUI for decades. Driving in Tremont on a Saturday mid afternoon, looking for somewhere different to eat. Parked right in front of bar entrance, but sign said closed. Walked to opposite end and saw people exiting, and entered from this entrance. Found out that dinner was not served until 4pm. Told us to head... More

This place was established in 1923, how many restaurant can make the claim of almost 100 years in "the business" !? They are really doing something right with the food because the outside and inside decor don't scream updated! The cafeteria style is a little weird, but at least you can look and smell at the daily specials. Of course... More
