We had read about Sokolowski, but had never been there. What a delightful lunch. Real food, and extremely tasty. We visited Cleveland West Side Market an hour before stopping at Sokolowski's. This restaurant is very near to the market. So we only ate a small pretzel roll at the market so that we did not spoil our lunch. The salsbury... More

Sitting in the restaurant now. It is a must for Cleveland. Food is all homemade. And very large portions. I had fried pork chops which were amazing. The meatloaf looked yummy. They have a small salad bar that goes with the meal. Those with me said the pierogis were great. Try the coconut cake. It is light and fluffy. The... More

Born and raised in Cleveland- have lived in a Montana a long time - which is definitely a pierogi free state! A visit to Sokolowskis' was a trip down memory lane. The food was SO wonderful. The pierogis were just like I remembered. It was worth the trip to the Old Tremont area to find this great place. The staff... More

Moving away from the area, 500 miles south, there are times I crave food of my youth. Perogies, my long time favorite food being one of the craves. REAL perogies! This cafeteria style line moves fast so be prepared to feast your eyes quickly. I ordered Chicken Paprikash and 4 perogies. Thought I would take 2 perogies to go. I... More

My kids complained the whole drive there that they would hate it, boy were they wrong. My oldest who claims to hate meat couldn't eat the Salisbury steak fast enough. The paprikash was so tasty and all 3 of my kids had desserts that they loved. Though it looked crazy crowded when we walked in by the time we got... More

Born and raised in CLE - This place is a must stop for any visitor seeking authentic cuisine Polish in a unique setting. The food is served cafeteria style and the portions are large! It is located in the Tremont neighborhood, not far from downtown. The pork chops and pierogis are my favorite - but you can't go wrong with... More

Historic old cafeteria style restaurant in tremont neighborhood. We went after seeing it featured for best pierogis on the food network. They were delicious- though swimming in quite a lot if butter, so wouldn't want them every day! In my opinion the best thing were the cabbage noodles. So delicious! We got takeout for other family- chicken paprikakash, meatloaf, kraut,... More

We randomly found this place. Food served cafeteria-style. Had the chicken paprikash with mashed potatoes and green beans with paprikash gravy. Yummy comfort food indeed. This is a place worth seeking. Lots of local people here.

I HAVE to stop @ Sokolowski's for pierogies when we travel to Cleveland. They have THE BEST! I brought family that have lived in Cleveland their whole lives and never been. They agreed that Sokolowski's has the best pierogies. I tried a brat this trip and it was delicious as well. The restaurant is nothing fancy, just local owned, family... More

We were there for a business lunch. This is a cafeteria line with tables to eat at throughout. The line was busy, considering we were there at 1:00. They had traditional potato pancakes, pierogies, cabbage rolls/stuffed cabbage. I also had chicken Romano. Considering I am Polish and have had/made these dishes, I must say that they were good. It appears... More
