Just try it!

Wow, we did not know what to expect when we walked in. Dining with a 5 year old can be dicey and we approached the cafeteria line with some hesitation. Then, they asked him, “do you like macaroni and cheese?” Well, he loved the homemade shells mac and cheese. The Pierogi's are to die for. I could... read more

I love Sokolowski's. It is what it is- great "comfort" food (if you're comforted by pierogi's and wienerschnitzel). Served cafeteria style, this is no nonsense, incredibly tasty food that is a true Cleveland experience. Hard working people serving food that comes from the heart. I grew up in Cleveland and make sure that every visit back includes a stop at... More

Buffet style Polish restaurant (in Poland, the buffet restaurants are called "milk bars"). Huge selection of delicious foods. I had the Russian Pierogi (potato - called "Russian" even though they're clearly Polish). Would have liked the sauerkraut, mushroom and onion pierogi, which they didn't have, but no matter. We'd go back!!!

I must first tell you I am eastern european, first generation. This means I can appreciate and discriminate amongst good and bad Pieorgies, Pork, Stuffed cabbage with the best of them. Let me tell you I can accept this food from Sokolowski's intravenously if possible for months. The details like the red cabbage for example is has a tinge of... More

...for this southern boy. The Polish character and atmosphere is pleasantly evident immediately upon entering, including the very welcoming staff and diners. At lunch it is a buffet line and a new guy needed all the helpful advice which was provided to select from new-to-me selections. Extremely loyal customers are apparently frequent diners and were part of the welcoming experience.... More

We went to a group dinner for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The food is served in a buffet style, but they serve you. There is a choice of one main and two side courses.I chose the Lake Erie perch, corn and pierogies. The perch was served on lettuce, which was a nice touch, as it helped with the grease. It had... More

From the minute we walked in the door....it became obvious that this would be a great place to eat and enjoy. The food was incredible....and the staff was truly second to none....This was a large group visiting the area....and we moved through the cafeteria line with precision....and loved the whole ambiance. We give it a 10 Star rating

I have traveled and dined far and wide--from Bangkok to Buffalo--and never found another Sokolowski's. But beware there are massive calories lurking in those entrees: chicken breast floating in butter, dumplings, Lake Erie perch, chicken paprikash, baked scrod, fried cod, crab cakes, meat loaf, pork chops, bratwurst, kielbasa, sauteed pierogi, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, cabbage and noodles, homemade pies, and... I just love this place. The food is served cafeteria style which is good because you get to see everything g on the menu that day and bad because it makes it so hard to decide! I always seem to get the stuffed cabbage and pierogi. The chicken papirkash, Salisbury steak, turkey...everything is soooo yummy. Beware they close at 3!... More
