Great food...glad I wasn't paying

Went here with a group of 20 or so. We started with a few appetizers: Animal tots, hushpuppies and wings. I really enjoyed the tots and the hushpuppies but the wings were just ok. I ordered the shrimp and grits for my entree. I loved the extra twist with the chorizo. I also enjoyed the Chenin... read more

My wife and I went to Hodge's prior to a Cavs playoff game last week and it was awesome. Unfortunately the outside bar/patio was packed (it is large and comfortable), but we sat in the bar at a raised bar table. The drink selection for happy hour was diverse and well priced. My favorite the Moscow mule is on it,... More

We stumbled upon this place while looking for a place that could accommodate our rather large party (about 14 people) without a reservation. The staff was friendly and accommodating, putting together an area for us in the back room. The music playing was enjoyable, yet played at a level which allowed conversation. The food was very good, as was the... More

I don't love restaurants that are set back off the street, but I'm glad I was talked into this one. The cocktails were crafted with fresh juices and ingredients, the menu was slightly different - comfort food with a twist? - and I loved it. The service was the best part of the night: super attentive, warm, friendly and always... More

Hodges was recommended by a couple we sat next to at the ballpark. This restaurant has a slightly different menu (drinks and food) than the usual "pubs" around the ballpark, we were looking for variety. Service was adequate, ambience was good, and certainly within walking distance that we were looking for, too. Some of the servings were a little off.... More

Everything was underwhelming. The menu was uninspired, the food was bland (and cold). I really want to like this place, but it's not very good.

Sat in the bar for an hour or so before dinner, very good drink menu, attentive waiter and bartender. Moved upstairs (yes, it was a little toasty but not uncomfortable) for dinner. Wine menu has some excellent choices and pretty good prices (Owen Roe Umbris for 60'ish). Shrimp and Grits was fantastic, all the appetizers were wonderful and again, wait... More

I ventured out of the Hyatt at the Arcade on one of the coldest nights in Cleveland this winter (temp was 1 degree without windchill) to find a nearly empty restaurant at about 7pm in downtown Cleveland. I had heard about their cornbread in advance of coming here but when I arrived I was not offered the cornbread nor was... More

Went here for restaurant week with my wife and in-laws. Seated us upstairs, which as others have said, is very hot. Had the snack trio for appetizer, others got the same or a salad. They were out of deviled eggs, so we got 2 hanky pankies, which turned out to be amazing and the best thing I had all night.... More
