Great place in downtown Cleveland

Sat in the bar for an hour or so before dinner, very good drink menu, attentive waiter and bartender. Moved upstairs (yes, it was a little toasty but not uncomfortable) for dinner. Wine menu has some excellent choices and pretty good prices (Owen Roe Umbris for 60'ish). Shrimp and Grits was... read more

Everything was underwhelming. The menu was uninspired, the food was bland (and cold). I really want to like this place, but it's not very good.

I ventured out of the Hyatt at the Arcade on one of the coldest nights in Cleveland this winter (temp was 1 degree without windchill) to find a nearly empty restaurant at about 7pm in downtown Cleveland. I had heard about their cornbread in advance of coming here but when I arrived I was not offered the cornbread nor was... More

Went here for restaurant week with my wife and in-laws. Seated us upstairs, which as others have said, is very hot. Had the snack trio for appetizer, others got the same or a salad. They were out of deviled eggs, so we got 2 hanky pankies, which turned out to be amazing and the best thing I had all night.... More

First of all, the cornbread they serve is the best I've ever had! Casual modern comfort food served in trendy decor. Professional talented chef prepared meals that most people won't make at home. More than just seasoned meat or fish that's been grilled or sautéed. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great service! Contemporary and comfortable atmosphere.

We went in for half price burger night which is $6.50 and I asked their was a kids menu available , being that I have a picky 11 year old . She stated their is no kids menu but they could make a grilled cheese or mac and cheese. He chose and mac and cheese. We got a bowl of... More

Devils on Horseback, Hanky Pankies and Goat Cheese Tart are very good small starters. Bay of Fundy Salmon was cooked perfectly, husband's burger was very good. The service was very good. Were seated upstairs first but it was too warm for me so the host was happy to reseat us on the main floor. All-in-all a nice dinner.

Hodges was great place to catch a bite to eat after our conference at the convention center. The décor makes you feel welcomed and cozy. The staff was truly great, friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, but some items feel like they don't belong in the restaurant. The place feels like it should be that gastro pub type... More

The food was good, but there are some very real advantages to this spot: 1. the staff, from the valet to the hostess to the wait staff was outstanding 2. The underground parking with direct access to the building is major during Cleveland winters 3. The cornbread is nothing short of memorable

We went to Cleveland for the first time recently and was looking for a good place to eat. An employee at downtown hotel where we were staying recommended Hodges, which was right across the street. It was excellent. The food was surprisingly upscale at a very reasonable price. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly.
