We went to see FlashDance the Musical at the Palace Theater and my reservations for Cowell & Hubbard were made one month in advance. I didn't want to miss out on this adventure. The restaurant is so beautiful!!!! The service was impeccable and the food was really fantastic. This restaurant is all about getting you to your show on time... More

We went to Cowell & Hubbard with no real prior knowledge and had a very good meal. We had the Crispy Pork Stack which was very tasty. My wife had the Braised Lamb Shoulder and I had the Braised Beef. The Lamb was much better but the beef was good too.

My husband and I recently dined at Cowell & Hubbard with my parents for my father’s birthday and had a wonderful dining experience. We decided on this restaurant because my father used to frequent Cowell & Hubbard (when it was Cleveland’s premiere jewelry store) as a boy when he worked as a courier at Jones Day so we suspected it... The last visit to Cowell and Hubbard was not a pleasant one. My husband and I come to the restaurant at least once a month. We belong to all the playhouses so we like to go after. This last time reminded me of the last time we were at Bricco just before they closed..THE SERVICE at Cowell was poor our... More

we heard about this through some friends that were at the film festival with us. were able to get a later reservation. restaurant was pretty empty just because we were so much later but service was still excellent. wine list offered a nice variety and selection. our meals were great & we would definitely go back when returning to the... Exceptionally intriguing menu, only fair execution and lazy uninformed service add up to a very disappointing evening. 5 friends shared a terribly bland and "chopped" yes chopped up steak tatare. Weird. Terrific marrow bones; perfectly roasted. Other forgettable starters. Good Oso Buco but the waiter was cluelees about a substitute for a starch. Had it with spinach and it was... More

This was clearly a popular pre-theater choice for many who were attending shows in the nearby Playhouse Square in Cleveland. The menu was very diverse with unusual offerings. All of the meals had by our party of four were excellent with special praise for the trout. The broccoli salad with granny smith apples was a great beginning for a braised... More

DIsclaimer: I am a huge fan of Zach Bruell's restaurants. Cowell & Hubbard, his latest endeavor, is of the same caliber as L'Albatros while not as intimate. The menu is diverse (Thai, pizza, comfort food, American) and perfectly done. The braised beef is so fork-tender that it almost melts in your mouth. The ham hock pizza with one-hour poached egg... My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday dinner after the theater last week. The restaurant opened early since the play let our early, and they we wonderful about accomodating us at that time. The menu has wonderful healthy selections that are inventive and delicious. My Superior Whitefish Entree was excellent & cooked to perfection, and the spinach and red... More

We had reservations for dinner before the theatre. We were seated and served promptly. Nice menu selections. I had the risotto which I really didn't care for but my friend had the burger and said it was fantastic. The sunchoke salad was very good. Nice wines by the glass, a little pricey, but hey, you are downtown. We liked the... More
