Stopped to eat here before a Cavs game. The food was awesome and was prepared quickly. I had the braised beef and was not disappointed. Highly recommended!

made a 6:15 reservation in a Saturday night and our table was ready and waiting, along with warm bread and terrific service. Not rushed, but wine arrived quickly and my 1/2 order of linguini with scallops was perfect before wandering across the street to watch Lebron. My wife had the eggplant, guests had salmon and 1/2 order of ship pasta,... More

I am astounded by the number of restaurant choices in downtown Cleveland and this one is a great choice if you are a foodie. I started off with an incredible grilled vegetable salad with farro (grain) and topped with a white balsamic vinaigrette (scrumptious). The main course was a vegan eggplant with a porcini tomato sauce. It was very well... More

I stopped by the restaurant 2 weeks ago by accident when attending an international training event held at the Quicken arena. It was within walking distance. The staff was very friendly. I ordered a potato and cauliflower pizza that was delish. Not the combination you would try? . Hey expand your horizonsLOL. My ginger ale with lemon and lime was... More

Chinato is run by Zack Bruell, who offers a faithful Italian menu - way beyond the average tepid quasi-Italian menus that dominate the American landscape. This establishment offers true Italian dishes prepared with authentic Italian spices and presentation. My experience here was as part of a business outing, so we shared a number of appetizer dishes and I was able... More

My wife and I dined here on a Saturday evening. We have previously been to Cowell and Hubbard near Playhouse Square which we loved, so we had high expectations for this Zack Bruell establishment as well. The atmosphere is nice however the tables are spaced rather closely together though, so that may be an issue if you prefer a more... More

From the moment we were seated by a hostess who was unfriendly to trying to get sea salt that wasn't from Tibet, I knew this was not going to be a good dining experience. The menu is great if one is a "vegan", but for the rest of us it is overpriced with small portions.

My husband & I were in Cleveland for a football game and wanted to give Chinato a try. Even tho we had an early reservation & there were few customers, our waitress was preoccupied, missed bringing a drink, didn't replace place settings, & was just not attentive. I liked the burratta & caponata antipasti but my husband didn't care for... More

We ate outside during the Gay Games, and loved our experience. There were several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, all of them explained extensively by our very nice server. The polenta was rich and creamy. The pasta came with a light cream sauce that showed off some delicious cauliflower. The chocolate cake for dessert was rich, but a... More

Eclectic? I don't know. But there isn't anything traditional Italian on the menu at all. Everything is beef tongue, squid, clam, whatever. Looked like all the beautiful people there ordering very unique dishes. I had seafood spaghetti and it was very fishy - maybe it's supposed to be. I recommend you look at the menu before going in. And NOISEY!... More
