The food was amazing, very fresh, nice combination of ingredients. Service was amazing, given we were a big party, the staff knew what to recommend and the guests were happy with their choices. Serving sizes were big, which surprised me, but they had options to order half the portion, specially in the pasta section of the menu. Would eat there... More

Family meal served outdoors. The antipasto was puréed and over salted... Very odd ! My sisters gluten free toast was burnt to charcoal !! My husband ordered a dish of fettuccini carbonara... No kidding... It was made with pig jowls!!! They should warn you!

We had a selection of appetizers and pastas. Everything we tasted was amazing. The presentation was nice, the service fast but not rushed. My favorite appetizer was the beef tongue. I was a little skittish but my son promised me it was amazing and he was right! Finished off the meal with an expresso and it was perfect too.

It was date night and I wanted something with an Italian flavor so we chose this place. The Ambiance was alright with the dim lights and candles however when it was time to deliver our food that's when it went downhill. The pizza was Burnt I mean really burnt . The flattened chicken with fingerling potatoes was a waste .... More

Zack Bruell's restaurants always seem to deliver. Consistent service, inventive tastes and a varied menu suit any preference. Chinato is at the corner of Prospect and 4th, in the heart of the E. 4th restaurant district. The space has a distinct, understated urban vibe, and window side tables offer some wonderful people watching opportunities. My wife and I shared a... More

I wanted to treat some out of town friends, and had to choose between Cleveland's Little Italy section vs. Chinato, I chose the latter and highly recommend it. The pork ossa buco is beyond excellent, and the choices of wine by the glass let everyone get their own favorite. We concluded with a shared tarimasu that was superb. Take the time... More

There were seven of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. Many of the meals seemed typical at first glance but on closer inspection had something not so typical going on. In a typical order of cannelloni at a little old traditional Italian restaurant on The Hill in St. Louis, you get your meat stuffed noodle. Chinato's seafood cannelloni had large... More

Delicious food. Friendly service. Lovely view. I'd love to see the menu expanded just a bit, but that's a personal choice. As it stands, it is a great place for dinner, either casual or special occasion.

Had dinner on a Saturday evening @ 6. Excellent service, our waiter was very knowledgeable with wine suggestions and answering our questions about the items on the menu. Delicious bread with olive oil for dipping comes before dinner. We had sea scallops with pisarei and the special which was a 10oz rib eye. Both our dinners were cooked to perfection!... More

Thier Happy Hour has a good wine selection plus deals on appetizers at the bar. The gnocchi is great, but so is the sausage pizza. The bartenders are very friendly, too, especially Annie. We'll definitely go back when we're in town.
