I am so spoiled because I travel to nyc frequently. I was overwhemled by the level of sophistication at Chinato. The food transported me to my travels to Italy. I am rarely happy in most restaurants but I experienced one of the best meals of my life. Zach Buell has not spared an expense with food quality and I really... More

We had reservations and were seated in the bar. Basically we had peoples' butts in our faces all night The Tuna Crudo and Fried Artichokes. The Tuna was shaved so thin you could see through it - but you couldn't taste it. You could only taste the crispy speck and the tomato coulis. The artichokes were difficult to eat. They... More

osso bucco was very well executed. All of us had good dishes that exude robust flavored. The waitress was able to recommend dishes based on our individual palates quite well. Walking distance to the Q. Reasonable valet parking with a validation stamp. Would definitely recommend my friends trying this restaurant.

My wife and I tried Chinato out before a Cavs Playoff game. Needless to say, they were getting slammed, but really, aside from the crowds of people, it was impressively a normal experience. We arrived quite early for our reservation and decided to get an appitizer at the downstairs bar. Buratta with caponata: essentially toasted bread with a spread of... More

The food was amazing, very fresh, nice combination of ingredients. Service was amazing, given we were a big party, the staff knew what to recommend and the guests were happy with their choices. Serving sizes were big, which surprised me, but they had options to order half the portion, specially in the pasta section of the menu. Would eat there... More

Family meal served outdoors. The antipasto was puréed and over salted... Very odd ! My sisters gluten free toast was burnt to charcoal !! My husband ordered a dish of fettuccini carbonara... No kidding... It was made with pig jowls!!! They should warn you!

We had a selection of appetizers and pastas. Everything we tasted was amazing. The presentation was nice, the service fast but not rushed. My favorite appetizer was the beef tongue. I was a little skittish but my son promised me it was amazing and he was right! Finished off the meal with an expresso and it was perfect too.

It was date night and I wanted something with an Italian flavor so we chose this place. The Ambiance was alright with the dim lights and candles however when it was time to deliver our food that's when it went downhill. The pizza was Burnt I mean really burnt . The flattened chicken with fingerling potatoes was a waste .... More

Zack Bruell's restaurants always seem to deliver. Consistent service, inventive tastes and a varied menu suit any preference. Chinato is at the corner of Prospect and 4th, in the heart of the E. 4th restaurant district. The space has a distinct, understated urban vibe, and window side tables offer some wonderful people watching opportunities. My wife and I shared a... More
