Excellent Restaurant

We recently had a nice dinner at the L'Albatros. We enjoyed braised veal ribs with an excellent bottle of Italian wine. The restaurant was very busy so we ate at the bar. The bar tender was attentive and explained the menu thoroughly to us. We were surprised to see the extensive wine list with... read more

My first time at L'Albatros was for happy hour on our way to Wade Oval Wednesday. It was the best Cosmo Martini I have ever had! We sat at the inside bar which was oh so perfect and friendly and prompt bartenders. The app's were outstanding. I will definitely return!

This is a very nice restaurant with a great wine menu and very tasty food. Both parking and the entrance are a bit curious. You pay $3 to park (the restaurant does not have its own lot based upon what I could determine. That’s OK and not uncommon.) Visitors entering through the front door must navigate past the kitchen and... More

L'Albatros is a true gem and is a haven for gourmet food lovers. We had our first L'Albatros experience during a during a short Cleveland vacation and the experience was amazing. Although the experience compares directly to several upscale French restaurants we've dined at in France, the food was superior. I ordered the French Onion Soup to start and it... More

I took my son to look at Case Western, and we researched good restaurants in advance of our visit. We settled on L'Albatros, based on its reviews and proximity to campus. We were delighted to find that it was literally right across the street from where our campus tour started. I would echo the reviews from everyone else. It was... More

Unassuming in appearance, tucked in away from the main streets and popular hangouts. But well worth a visit. The food is superb. I had the duck confit and highly recommend it. The meat was literally falling off the bone, the sauces subtle and delicious. Loved both the indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

I have been frequenting L'Albatros over the years and the mark of a great restaurant is consistency or improvement. L'Albatros continues to improve over time. Their Alsace inspired dishes and unusual wines continue to please. My favs include the chacuteries (the foie gras - ah - and I've had foie gras all over the globe), the skate, the steak frite.... L'Albatros is an excellent restaurant in the Case Western Reserve University district of Cleveland. This French restaurant has a large number of varied choices. Our party of 5 started out with a Charcuterie Platter with a number of sausages and meats and then an assorted cheese platter. The woman serving the cheese was well educated in the choices but the...
