A unique menu

While attending the Cleveland Film Fest, we decided that since we had not yet experienced the Greenhouse, and there has been a great deal of buzz about its sustainable menu and Chef John Sawyer, we should check it out. The space on E. 4th reflects the sustainability theme, with recycled bicycles... read more

I really wasn't impressed. I had read such good reviews and had high hopes, but I didn't think the food or service was all that great. What was great? The fact that this used to be an old store of some sort and they put tables in the front windows, which make it a great place to people watch. The... More

We were able to sit at the counter area by the chefs, which our friends were able to specify when making the reservation. So fun to watch. The food was unique and delicious. The staff were very attentive to the quality of the meals. A total experience.

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The staff were courteous and friendly. The music and background noise/cahtting were perfect for feeling you were in a lively environment but not overwhelming so you could not hear the person next to you. We sat at the bar and the wooden decor plus long spacious bar made it easy to have... More

A wonderful restaurant with the sustainable flare which brings the freshness of the local farms to your taste buds in a way you will amazed! Recommendation; GO to 4th and look for the white greenhouse tavern tree sign, once inside take a look around, interesting. Give the professional server your picks, ask for their best parings. Sit back and prepare... More

Went to The Greenhouse on a Saturday evening. We were actually trying to go elsewhere, but the wait there was too long. Sat at a communal table in the bar and ordered drinks and a few starters. Cabbage salad ($11) looked interesting, so we thought we could share it. By the look of our server's face, we reconsidered and asked... More

Reading the reviews on TA and seeing it listed in Cleveland's top restaurants we had reasonably high expectations. The space is quite nice and the service staff unfortunately a little robotic. The menu was quite good promising things such as barrel aged Tabasco fried chicken which sounds amazing but wasn't too much like normal fried chicken (perhaps a clue as... More

Just got back from their Metal event. The food is worth a five star rating alone but there is so much more. Great wait staff that know their food and take great care of you. We went for a special " metal as f^@k" ( that isn't very metal spelling it that way but...). Exceptional event, service and the food... More

Cool concept but food tasted average. Pricey and difficult to figure out what I wanted to order off of menu. Didn't understand what I was eating really! Don't go here if you like "normal" or traditional food otherwise it's worth a shot.

Went to GHT for my husband's birthday. The service was fantastic and the food was superb. We both did the tasting menu which is the best bang for your buck. You get an amuse, your choice off of firsts, seconds, and thirds then either something off the halfs or desserts. A few items had up charges but those that did were... More
