My friend took me to this place and I have never been before. So glad she took me! It was so beautiful! The food is outstanding. Make sure you make a reservation though. But plan on spending a couple hours while you're there to eat and walk around and enjoy the scenery of Chippewa Lake. It's right on the water... More

We have been coming for years to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. This trip was a big flop. My 88 year old father had made a trip up from Atlanta just to celebrate 2 birthdays and an anniversary. We had picked the Oaks for our place to eat. Our waitress took forever to wait on us. She did not come by... More

We haven't been to the Oak's Lodge in several years but we were so happy that it has not changed much except it is actually better. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food was excellent from start to finish. And the grounds are meticulously maintained and so beautiful. We can't wait for our next visit. We had... More

Just the most beautiful evening I have had in a long time. The food was incredible. The sunset was amazing. The lake was fabulous! The service was wonderful. It was a very special time and we were able to take our time and not feel at all rushed. I don't think the prices are out of line for everything that... More

Mother's Day brunch buffet was marginal at best. Mounds of food were presented in disposable aluminum pans, like at a BBQ, which made it feel cheaper than the rest of the atmosphere, which is beautiful. Dessert options were basically pudding or cookies. Specify you want a lake view in your reservations; that view, and the wonderful, warm service, are why... More

We love going to The Oaks Lodge. We have been going there for about 12 years and each year the menu and food just get better and better. Looking out onto the Lake is spectacular especially at sundown. And having dinner there during the summer months is very special. This is a must on anyone's list of wonderful evenings! Try... More

I've been going to "The Oaks" for decades. Thefood has been up anddown--but last time it was great. The View is unparalleled. Have a drink and appetizer then chose a entree. It is worth sitting there and seeing what life was earlier.

This restaurant is locally owned and operated. The chef creates amazing dinners that you won't find anywhere else, and the view to Chippewa Lake is breathtaking at sunset. The restaurant also does fun theme nights, like their annual Viking Dinner. I highly recommend starting with the Baklava Brie appetizer. Order a glass of wine with your meal and stay a... More

We went to dinner with another couple here on a Saturday evening. We called to say that we'd be late and they were very accomadating and told us not to worry. When we got there they had us wait for 10 minutes, then seated us. The restaurant appeared to be about half full. We were immediately served water and given... More

We have enjoyed driving out to Chippewa Lake at many different times of the year to enjoy a celebration or romantic dinner in this unique historical inn-turned restaurant. In the summer, we enjoy dining outside on the expansive old stone patio (this was once the summer home of a wealthy family) surrounded by sculptures and verdant flower gardens with a... More
