This spot has had a number of restaurants, but none successful. The present one is limited by a lack of restaurant common sense and apparently by funding. After being ignored by the blonde haired hostess more concerned with her conversation at the bar, we walked into a uncomfortably warm dining room. The buffet line was almost void of ribs and... More

Made reservations for 8 people on a busy Friday during lent, we were sat down within 5 minutes of arriving. Servers were excellent, friendly patient and very helpful. The meals we all ordered were great. fish dinners were very good, some ate at the buffet the rest ordered off of the menu. Prices are reasonable and the experience was positive... More

I had not been to this restaurant since it was the old "Mapleside" . I must admit I was looking for a few of the old favorites that we always looked forward to. There is no more waldorf salad. We had a group of 8 on a Sunday afternoon, which was not an issue at all. I had made a... More

I had stopped in to book a party, talked to Megan. E-mailed her the next day (as she said that is the best way to get a hold of her) to confirm that I wanted to go ahead with the booking. Didn't hear back from her, called a few days later to try to talk to her. She wasn't in,... More

Needs a VERY thorough cleanup (carpet & floor are filthy)and would be greatly improved with some remodeling. It has been thru a number of owners or managers in recent years with little change in anything. Servers try to do a good job, but they are spread to thin and have to run around all over the place. The food has... More

I went to The Orchard House and was very pleasently suprised at how amazing every aspect of our experience was! We watched the sunset from our seats while enjoying the vegetable bruschetta, exquisite meatloaf (yeah I said meatloaf!), homemade mashed potatoes, and scrumptious bread pudding! You can tell everything is made from scratch and with an experienced chefs's hands! Not... More

The service was good....but ...the food was just okay. My husband and I got the Chicken Marsala and for 14.99 per plate I thought it was over priced. One chicken breast on the small size. The breast was not cleaned to remove fat and vein so you had to cut around that. The breast was on top a mound of... More

I was excited to visit Orchard House after reading a review in the newspaper. I have lived in Brunswick for 25 years and thus have been to this restaurant when it was Mapleside, then Melrose and now Orchard House. Unfortunately there has been absolutely no change in the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant since it was Mapleside. I was... More

My husband and I visited the Orchard house restaurant on a Sunday for dinner. The food was "ok" we felt the meals were extremely overpriced for the amount of food. I had the porkchop dinner and for what it cost I could have bought a whole pork loin and had 3 meals!

This restaurant has changed owners 3x now and I keep hoping the menu is going to change, but I'm disappointed each time. There are some changes but not enough to entice me to return. This was my first visit to the Orchard House and I will not be returning. The food was mediocre and priced higher than what it was worth.... More
