I have heard and read about Amish food and I have tried it at small markets and was not impressed. All of that changed here. The food was beyond amazing( probably the best mashed potatoes and gravy I have ever put I my mouth). Couple with the chopped sirloin steak, green beans, fresh bread and creamy butter and I was... We have family in the area and when we visit one of the treats use to be dining at this restaurant. Not sure much anymore. This is not an authentic Amish experience by far, Seat yourself and cash only are two of the downfalls. It's a physically small building and frustrating to see customers hovering waiting for tables to empty.... More

Everyone we talked to was raving about the restaurant. I didn't see what it was they were all so excited about. The food was mediocre, service was also average and the price was on par with other restaurants. I even tried a pie which I think was the big draw. Again, nothing exceptional.

Cash only, but extremely reasonable. Love the friendly, quaint atmosphere. Great service and true home made food. Loved the sweet potato fries!

We ate at both places and Cindy's won hands down. Better tasting food, friendlier service and less crowded. Boyd and Wurthmann had a seat yourself policy that was frustrating and inefficient during a crowded summer afternoon. The line flowed into the eating area as people were looking for open tables (and standing right next to us as we had lunch).... More

The food here was great, we both had the nightly special which was broasted chicken and it was the best tasting chicken we have ever eaten. The rest wast just as good and the price was very reasonable. Our server needs to find another line of work she seemed overwhelmed and did not provide good service.

We stopped here based on reviews on tripadvisor. For sure we did not expect a high-end lunch, but at least solid home cooking. Service was decent, everything tasted okay and is reasonable priced, but that is about it. The veggies were microwaved, the mashed potatoes were also not fresh. Not really what we expected from Amish cooking....

Don't let this place slip by. It may be small in size, but big on flavor. We had prime rib a salad, baked potato for 14.99. It was so good. The pkace is old, but We loved the food. My son is in a wheelchair so we got in through a side door shich was great. Our waitress was really... More

WE stopped here on recommendation from the locals and were not disappointed. The best comfort food I have had outside of home. Nothing fancy but the sweet potato fries had just been cut and fried. These were not frozen out of a bag. The bread was noticeably home made and all the food was fresh and abundant.
