Can't do it every day or you'd be dead. But if you're gonna do chicken dinner, why settle for less than the best. Get extra hot sauce.

Every time. It feels like home. Fries leave something to be desired. And the hot sauce is hit or miss on the consistency. But damn do I love it.

The restaurant is older and the front seating is uncomfortable for anyone who is plus size or has a problem getting up/down. FOOD - there are other things on the menu but we always have the 'traditional' Barberton Chicken meal. HOT _ TASTY_PLENTIFUL, going back every week for more. I would like to suggest to those who might be new.... More

This was my first Barberton Chicken Dinner and it was wonderful. Fried chicken that tastes like chicken, not overpowered by spices, beautiful crust and texture. While there, I decided to go for the total package experience: chicken accompanied by "hot sauce" which is a soupy version of spanish rice, slaw (a spicy vinegar-based version) and fries (rivaling those found on... I finally made it to Hopocan Gardens for some amazing fried chicken. What a wonderful home town restaurant. I have heard about this place ever since I moved to Cleveland and finally ... got to eat this famous chicken. This truly was the best fried chicken I have eaten in quite sometime. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but who cares,... More

Looked great on New Day Cleveland - golden chicken, hand cut fries, " WOW " very different in person - 4 piece classic white = a breast, a wing, they had even removed the drummette, leg and a back - first time I knew a leg is white meat and the back what a joke !!! The chicken and the... More

Husband and I eat here about once a year. Barberton chicken is an acquired taste but I like it. Food was good once they got our order sorted out. There were only 3 tables of people In the restaurant. The waitress was very slow, and she forgot to bring out my husband salad. When she brought out the food, they... More

As an out-of-town visitor, I was introduced to Barberton chicken at Hopocan Gardens. It was absolutely worth a taste (but this kind of very greasy food is not something I would enjoy eating on a regular basis). Everything seems to be cooked in lard. That being said, it was delicious.

I went here and because my husband and his family frequented here as a child. Well all these years later no one must have done a thing there. It is outdated and dirty. The food was very greasy and bland. The waitresses were not attentive.

Again, the food was to die for. The service was only ok, but the food makes up for it. It closes very early on weekdays, so you might check their hours if you eat dinner late.
