We tried both the City Lights Supper Club and Sabirs while in Valley City. City The food was not only better at City Lights but the service and hospitality was sooooo much better !!!!! If you're in the area take exit 292 to the top of the hill. You won't be disappointed. They treat you like you're somebody and feed... More

We were a little disconcerted when we pulled up and it was part of the bowling alley; we looked at each other and thought "okaaaaay", but need not have worried. It's a very nice place with actual fabric napkins and we were seated in the dining room NOT the bar, which was in bar fashion noisy and had TV's all... More

You won't expect it, but this is big city flavor with small town quality and hospitality. Take exit 292 and head south to the top of the hill and you won't be disappointed. If you get a window seat on the north side you will see the biggest railroad bridge you've likely ever seen.

Food wait is long drink wait is even longer. Had to ask for our salads as we seen another table that showed up 20 mins after we ordered get their salads first. Come here every now and then and it's a hit or miss

A peaceful meal in a appropriately quiet restaurant, the service was very nice and the food was well prepared and came on time.

we had a great time when we visited city lights! our table was overlooking valley city and the nice rolling hills, and the ambience was so nice - fireplace going, low-lighting and, best of all, quiet! there was only one other family in the area that we were eating in so that might have something to do with the great... We travel to Valley City often on business and find City Lights the best place to dine. Their food is tasty and the selection provides a good range for various tastes. The ribeye steak. (12 or 16 oz) is always flavorful and cooked precisely as requested. The ribs are probably the as good as any five star restaurant in the... More

One of the best steaks we've ever had. Good service. Friendly people. Although it's up on top of a hill, it doesn't provide a "view" but the quality of the food overshadows anything else that may seem to be lacking. Would definitely go there again whenever we're in Valley City.

A group of 10 of us went for supper here on a saturday night while in valley city. The steaks, salads, soups we all had was great! The Alfredo needs some work, kinda blah The service was my biggest complaint, not that it was bad, but it needs a lot of improvement for a place like this I feel. Our... More
