Tried the degustation menu with the lobster option. Every course was a sheer delight and a absolute joy. Every course was like a signature dish, although the pink gin cured salmon with beet root rye toast, cucumber jelly, fried capers & keta caviar, was second only be a whisker to the lobster medallion with blue swimmer crab and prawn tortellini... We managed to get a late lunch reservation (1:30pm) on a rainy day. We soon were the only patrons remaining, but had a wonderful experience because of the friendly and attentive service from the staff, which, combined with the fabulous food and rainy, but lovely view, just made our day. They didn't even seem to mind us lingering! Despite our... More

A group of 7 of us enjoyed lunch here a few days ago having visited the region from Sydney. Two courses for $65, three for $80 or A La Carte. Several of us had the Lobster Bisque for entree (you pay an additional $10 - so worth it). It was simply superb. Other entrees eaten were declared as excellent as... More

I don't know what it is about South Australia but everyone's friendly and the customer service is world class. D'Arry's was no different. The food was outstanding with the first day of the new summer menu providing something for everyone. Customer service was perfect and the location and view very good. I would highly recommend for a long lunch. Make... More

Very professional and informed staff for wine tasting in the cellar door. Take your purchases in to adjacent restaurant......sit outside if you can. The vista of vineyards is stunning. Don't miss it

Good food with good wines =enjoyment! Service was stirling as we were apologetically ushered to the tasting room to wait for our table to be ready. Star dish - the tequila infused salmon and the lamb lollies. Always leave room for desserts as these are pure indulgence. For those who are not in a hurry, opt for the degustation menu... More

Even during the week, you MUST reserve! You need a map or GPS to get there - its out in the countryside from McLaren Vale. We started with wine tastings, then went into the restaurant for lunch. We each choose a wine flight to go with our food - red for him, white for me. My white flight consisted of... More

My amazing partner surprised me and flew me here for my birthday from Melbourne. Spoilt. Very! This restaurant would have to be the ultimate in fine dining. The Spring Degustation menu with over four hours spent feasting on 10 exquisite courses with matching wines. Hence, we were not driving. The food spectacular with the standouts being the lobster bisque, the... More

Having the opportunity to have a meal at a winery with the cellar door next to the restaurant is so cool. We ordered a 3 course meal and were surprised with the 'normal" choice and the quality of the meals presented. McLaren Vale has heaps to offer and for us to have our special lunchen here was super. We like... More

We took some friends from interstate here for lunch as every time we have been here the food has been fantastic. We arrived early so we did some tasting beforehand. The staff here are very good and do make you feel welcome. The meals were very good and the desserts were fantastic especially the chocolate pudding for those who like... More
