A nice place for a no frills lunch

we went for lunch, both had the seafood platter. At $23 not bad. Crumbed prawns, fish and tender calamari plus chips and a small salad in separate bowl. Pleasant setting on the main road at McLaren Vale, we ate outside and watched a bike race peddle past three times, an added bonus. I had a beer... read more

We decided to try this cafe as we thought we could have a nice lunch then continue on with our discovery of McLaren Vale. Decided it looked nice and there were lots of people sitting at tables. The staff were quick to seat us and the atmosphere was pleasant. The menu was very limited but the food looked good as... More

We had both breakfast & dinner at the Tin Shed and received excellent service on both occasions. The food was great and menu had a good choice. I would be happy to go back.

Dined here for our first breakfast in McLaren Vale and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was the best I had had in our travels (Barossa and Clare Valley), and the muesli the best I have had too. Our friends all enjoyed their breakfasts. Service efficient and friendly.

I have been there many times and always had burgers. Now my favourite blue cheese burger is not on the menu at night. So I ordered a mexicana pizza. It had very little topping. It was overcooked and dry. It was undoubtedly the worst pizza I have every eaten. I have been there at lunch in the past and coveted... More

Went with friends for lunch. The men both had southern fried chicken and rated them as excellent whilst we "girls" shared a large seafood pizza which was absolutely delicious. Not a big pizza fan but this one was superb. Wine was expensive @ $38 a bottle but they do have byo with a $12 corkage fee. Very popular, the place... More

Found this place by chance after a cycle ride from Adelaide and have now been back several times since. Relaxed atmosphere and first rate menu with something for everyone. Can't fault it, food, coffee and service exactly as they should be everywhere. Good value - you get what you pay for.

A reasonable variety of food is on offer in a pleasant environment. Service was generally attentive without being intrusive. Value is ok. Not cheap but won't break the bank.

We have visited this cafe several times and thoroughly enjoy it. They have wonderful food and great desserts, also providing for gluten- free requests. You can take your doggy if staying in the front outside area. Great pizzas too !!!

The Tin Shed is exactly what it is, a tin shed, so don't expect fine dining, but the pizzas they make are magical. Great toppings and a great base team up to give you the best pizza ever.
