The cellar door and restaurant are a family owned business owned by Maria and Michael Vasarelli, along with their parents, Pat and Vicky Vasarelli. Set in the heart of McLaren Vale, the Vasarelli's have brought to the public a combination of award winning wines and Italian's love for cooking. With recipes passed down from generations, our cuisine ranges from antipasto platters and classic pasta dishes to all organic meats and the freshest seafood. At the very central of our cooking is the insistence that food be fresh & that our chefs are able to work to their own taste, opening the door to infinite variety.

Tour Down Under stopover

They had a stall in their gardens and we had yummy italian sausage in a roll, delicious, and great coffee. In the main street of McLaren Vale with the tour going past.

Been here several times previously but so disappointed this evening with the quality of the food. I'm afraid won't be returning in the near future.

We came here because there were no not many options for dinner late at McLAren Vale. I ordered, Pork Belly (which was ok) and my colleagues pasta and something else, which I don't remember because the comments were "it is fine", so nothing special. Nice atmosphere, nice outside terrace. Service wasn't really good, we were talking and the girl attending... More

We visited Vasarelli's with friends and our children for dinner on the weekend and were delighted we chose this restaurant. The friendly and attentive staff seated us on the verandah so the children could play on the lawn in front of us. The food and wine was wonderful and I can highly recommend the pork belly! Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to this restaurant expecting typical Italian food, and we were very disappointed. The appetizer was below average, and the main course was good but not made with the love and spices that we know from Italy. We also had to wait 1 hour for our main dish.

We have dined at Vasarelli's many times as a couple and with friends. Yestreday we called in for lunch and wished we had chosen elsewhere. The young waitress did not smile once, hardly spoke only saying what she had to. Usually the staff are friendly and welcoming, it all seemed to hard for this girl. We ordererd the Antipasti platter... More

Great service and food - salmon pasta was yummy - granchio was nice - but last time we were there it came with a half crab shell and claw which was awesome!

We were here for dinner, only booking 15min prior. We found the staff to be very attentive and really pleasant and thoroughly professional. Watching them as worked through service, it was clear to see they are at the top of their game. But then there is the food. We have just discovered our new favourite restaurant for Gnocchi. The “Gnocchi... More
