We popped in here as we wanted to try the Vale Ale range. We had the tasting paddle of 4 beers and had the pork belly which was amazing. The chocolate mousse cake was also excellent. Every single staff member that served us were incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. The setting is relaxed and friendly, I would recommend having lunch... More

Had a great family meal here after Wine tasting around the Valley area. Very scenic place. We had live entertainment while we had an excellent meal served by nice people. Try a Paddle , basically four different types of beer on a stick. Makes for a great family get together location.

Red Poles is an enigmatic venue! The setting is beautiful and tranquil, either on the Verandah or at the garden tables, it is a very relaxing location. Sunday afternoons take on live music and the atmosphere is top notch. Sadly the food is quite expensive and hasn't been to the same standard on the last couple of visits. We last... More

Lovely setting for an afternoon in McLaren Vale. I have been to Red Poles with small and big groups winter and summer and this was probably the most memorable. The service was fabulous the live music just right and the food and wine excellent as usual. The host Ros was so helpful. To top it off we stayed in the... More

Our third visit. Ros is a great hostess and you would have to go a long way to beat Mel as a server. Adore this place. Food scrumptious, cheese platter to die for especially the fig and walnut bread. Not cheap but we treat ourselves every month or so. Off o/s for 7 months but we will return !!

Had a relaxing lunch on the verandah on a weekend. Service was good and efficient. I had a 3 cheese platter with glass of wine. The blue was to die for and the wine went down very nicely. The walnut and fig loaf was perfect. (I am wishing I bought some home with me!)

We dropped by for lunch whilst the world and its wife were out Christmas shopping. My wife had a perfectly cooked steak that cut like butter, and I had an unforgettable pork belly dish with an apple and red cabbage shredded salad. To complete the main dish we ordered sides of roasted kipfler potatoes and seasonal veggies which were again... More

I've been here a few times and always had a great experience. Delicious scones, loads of cream and jam and a great setting. Love the music outside on a Sunday and the way our kids could join in. Last time we cycled from Mc Laren Vale, mainly on a safe bike track. Can't wait to take more visitors there to... More
