Great fun mingling at the bar wine tasting. Followed by delightful platters alongside the vineyard! Great wine and fantastic service! Highly recommend Ekhidna Wines an oasis in the McLaren Vale wine region. Don't forget to ask about Ekhidna the she viper,

This was our seventh dinner at Ekhidna and the most disappointing. Things have really changed from our initial visit when we were greeted by a smiling and attentive Matt. First time we've had to pay a $110 deposit. First time we haven't been able to grab a number for a Drinks Tab for each couple. No-one should have to split... More

Nice atmosphere and easy parking. Service is excellent as they attend well without intruding and don't clear plates before everyone has finished...you can relax and take your time. Food is very good but not 'wow'...and with the pricing that means there are one or two better options in the area where the food is a step up with similar pricing.... More

It was very busy when we visited, so we decided not to eat here. The beer tasting was ok, but we loved the alcoholic ginger beer! Best we have ever tasted.

We ate inside here, but noted it would have been lovely to sit outside next to the vines so if planning a visit definately make a booking and choose this option. Food is simple enough but very well done. My starter was pork belly bites which were maybe a tiny bit overdone but not enough to disappoint and my main... More

Only one mains option for veggies and the Quinoa & mushroom salad was not a great dish for $25. The kangaroo was tough but flavours were good. Angus beef steak and duck was good. This is a shame as the venue is great and the beer tasting paddle was a good introduction to the local beers - IPA being my... More

It was our first taste of SA, and it was a perfect start! Chicken breast stuffed with brebirousse cheese & almond with a beetroot rosti, crispy prosciutto & mango compot. Every bite you could taste a different flavour, it had a strong salty crisp taste from the prosciutto that was like a bite of Italy. The Rolled roasted duck a... More

One of our party had to send a chicken dish back twice before it wasn't leaking blood. The other dishes weren't that great either. Won't be rushing back!
