Five Star Dining

This is our favourite restaurant in the McLaren Vale region. The food is always presented beautifully, the waitresses are very knowledgeable about the food and wines, and the views are beautifully peaceful. The 'Shed' may not look much from the outside but this is one of the most relaxed dining... read more

I'm all up for a long lunch when I have time but this was just a slow lunch. We did mention we were time poor and unfortunately were not accommodated with a request to be out with in an hour. The food was good, pricey for the serves and having to have a two courses for $55 just did not... More

Wonderfully relaxed ambience set amongst vineyards & overlooking lush green lawn & a lime tree orchard. Superb menu to choose from & priced according to your choice of 2 or 3 courses. Extensive & interesting wine list with local as well as international wines. Service.. Impeccable. Do yourself a favor.

We had lunch at this lovely venue among the vines on December 27th. It has delicious specialty food which is beautifully presented. I chose beef, smoked pistachchios, celeriac, buckwheat and carrot with crisp salad lettuce leaves, followed by a chocolate parfait, macadamia, passion fruit and sherbet dessert. Both were absolutely delicious. Cost is $55 for two courses and $70 for... More

Last weekend we had a birthday celebration for my fathers 80th. 20 guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting. The food was delicious and we were looked after by a very warm and friendly French host. It was a memorable afternoon and I would highly recommend The Currant Shed for functions or a relaxed weekend lunch.

Food and surrounds great, just don't expect any professionalism, communication or care if they are hosting your function/ wedding. Just happy to take your money. Extremely disappointing
