The food was ok, but nothing extraordinary. But what this restaurant really lacked was any kind of atmosphere.

Had the slow cooked lamb and it was beautifully cooked. I was expecting the lamb shank but it was a lamb neck (I think) so had quite a lot of bones through it., but was tasty nonetheless. Wine selection good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to others and would visit again when in Hahndorf.

A quiet family gathering to celebrate a 60th birthday A cold wintery night but a warm welcome Everybody including the three young children enjoyed their meal I was a bit disappointed with my steak which was overcooked and not a nice cut however lamb on the bone seemed popular my salmon dumpling entrée was really enjoyable and the apple and... We had a great evening at this charming bistro on a Saturday night with family and 5 girls at a 15th birthday party. The food was very good and suited an elegent but casual meal for a variety of ages. The atmosphere was warm with original paintings and cosy nooks for groups to sit in. We had a variety of... More

We enjoyed a quiet dinner at this little restaurant. The food was very good and the service was prompt.

What a gem! We ate here on a quiet night before the Anzac Day long weekend. It is not open every night so check when open & plan ahead. Lunches here are popular apparently. Mandy was our waitress & she was very nice, chatty & efficient. The food - well...not much to be said apart from wonderful!! Menu choices were... More

Enjoyed a nice dinner here. They have a good wine selection of local wines and a variety of food options. There are share items so you can mix them, entrees that can be served as a main size and also mains. I enjoyed mushroom ragout with ricotta gnocchi and my partner had lamb on the bone. Keen to come again... More

My partner and I went to Bistro 25 a few weeks ago and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the lamb shanks which were melt in your mouth and tasty, and my partner had a steak which he too really enoyed. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back there again.

We were surprised just how busy this little place was for a Sunday evening. I felt the reception we received from our waitress was not particularly welcoming and appeared to be all too much trouble. The food how ever was 'ok' I had the veal masala. Might go back but not in any sort of rush!

Food is good but I don't feel like the staff are exactly thrilled about their job and it reflects. I am a nut for good service and bad service and can leave me feeling very sour about my experience in a whole.
