Great food and beer

A group of us had lunch here yesterday, main meal was great and dessert excellent. We even tried the beer paddles where you get to try small glasses of different beers. The venue was beautiful as well, lots of timber. Great time had by us all.

Went here with three adults and a kid. Service was fantastic and kudos must go to the one waitress on who managed our table and a few larger tables with ease. We did the beer paddle so we could try a few different selections. All four we tried were good but the Irish Red Ale was our fav. Kids meal... More

This restaurant serves its own accommodation but is also open to anyone staying in the region. To entice customers, they will send a complimentary taxi to take you to and from the restaurant, a great idea if you want to indulge in a selection of their home-produced range of beers. The food is imaginative and delicious. The setting is beautiful,... More

We had been travelling between national parks to 4wd and camp, stopped into a tourist info centre the brewery was recommended by Bob and we decided to stop on our way through town and were not disappointed. We were welcomed by great staff who helped us choose some beer for our paddles, you have to have one of these before... More

If you visit Stanthorpe I highly recommend the Granite Belt Restaurant, I was lucky enough to stay at Happy Valley for 4 days and found the food great (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have a food allergy and the staff went out of there way to accommodate my needs.

If you are in Stanthorpe, avoid this restaurant if you like good food, good service or have a food allergy. Were there tonight and asked for a sauce for steak that didn't include onions. Restaurant was only one third full. The chef(?) couldn't do that apparently, but wasn't told so I could choose another meal. So I was offered tomato... More

Hi Pam, I am really sorry you felt this way after dining with us last Saturday night. I can guarantee that if you had let me know that you had an onion allergy upon making your reservation, our chefs would have created a sauce just for you. As you only let us know when you ordered your steak, you left... More

We had dinner on two occasions and the food was simply delicious and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the local wine and also indulged in the craft beer brewed on the premises. I highly recommend the kolsch beer (storm king). We were there at a quiet time which suited us just fine. The waitress Marissa was attentive, charming and helpful.... More

Awful food, had to pay extra for vegetables - $10 ! Pea shoots and grated apple only served with the meal - horrid timber walls and no atmosphere. Couldn't wait to leave !

Hi Julie, I'm really sorry you didn't enjoy our food or our beautiful timber homestead. The meal you selected is actually our chefs signature dish and usually gets rave reviews. With regard to the vegetables, they are an optional side but are only $4 for a serving for two people. We feel this is very reasonable. Our desserts are all... More
