Best Beer

Really love the beers here and the tasting paddles are a fantastic way of trying the different varieties. We dined in the restaurant on Thursday evening and I had the mini degustation meal. While it was tasty I was disappointed that the first three courses all came out together which meant that... read more

Last weekend we dined twice. The first occasion was on Friday night with friends. We started with their beer and it is the third time I have had their own brewed beer. It is great craft beer and I would suggest all beer drinkers would find a couple of beers to their liking. The meals were lovely. The Pork Belly... More

We were so excited to go. I have to say the cabins were lovely and clean. Surroundings beautiful. Cannot fault the accommodation. Loved the fire place. Was cosy! Dinner on our second night was good and true to being told we will experience food from the Granite belt. Everything we ordered was delicious. However the continental breakfast for both mornings... As we pulled in to the granite belt brewery I was impressed- it looked neat and tidy. The theme was Xmas in July. The dining area was nice - warm enough on a cold night too. Wait staff were friendly and efficient . Unfortunately the pork belly that I chose let the setting of the restaurant down - very sweet... More

Hi Melissa, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our restaurant but it is a shame our Twice Cooked Pork Belly in plum sauce with Banana Blossom salad was too sweet for your palate. This is a very popular dish but I can understand that not everyone will like the sweetness of this meal. We hope to... More

We spent a couple of nights here and had dinner both nights and the food was exceptional . The restaurant was nice and cozy featuring a relaxed setting in front of the log fire. There was a separate area with a viewing window into the brewery. The bar was another comfortable area where you could just sit down and sample... More

Happy Valley is our go-to haven in Stanthorpe, this recent stay being our third visit. This time, we enjoyed buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and sampled the beers from the brewery. We have never been disappointed in any of the meals we've had. Hearty, well-presented and delicious, the menu is well-priced and offers enough variety to please... More

Hi Lee, Thanks for staying with us again and thank you for your great review. Beer is an acquired taste and is not for everyone. Our problem is we love both beer and wine! Guess we're living in the right place. See you next time you're in Stanthorpe! Thanks again. Dee and Geoff More

Exceptional quality food, truly restaurant class. Far exceeded our expectations for a hotel restaurant, all food was delicious and beautifully presented. Make sure you pick up a tasting paddle too! If you're extra hungry, the mini degustation menu is great value. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be back!

We recently visited the restaurant with a large group 19. The staff were very helpful and the meals were lovely. In fact not a single person in the group had a bad word to say about the meals, which is really saying something. The venue had a lovely ambience and the live music just added to that. I would definitely... More

We enjoyed our second visit to the Granite Belt Brewery on Mothers Day this year. The buffet had a good selection of meals though they could of been a bit hotter. The desserts & coffee were to die for!! Our only issue was when I asked the trainee about a beer and she didn't know, but didn't offer to go... More

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your lovely feedback. With regards to staff knowledge, I will tackle this tomorrow with another training on our beer selection. I believe in hiring juniors to give them a good work ethic, however when they can't drink a product (due to their age) they often find it hard to promote the product and don't really... More

The chef sources fresh and local produce to create exceptional meals. I have eaten here many times over the years and find no reason to eat anywhere else while staying in Stanthorpe. The staff are always attentive and present each plate with a smile and friendly attitude. You always feel relaxed and walk away well fed and happy. What more... More
