We loved our meal here - and the ambience is terrific - sitting outside with the sound of the sea in the background. For entree we shared the wonton prawns and crispy pork belly with green papaya salad - all delicious! We followed that with shared Crying Tiger Beef with salad - so tender and tasty - then Spanish Mackerel... More

We had a great meal here, one of our best in Mission Beach. Enjoyed the massaman curry and a sweet and sour pork special. Very nicely cooked and good fresh flavours. Nice service too.

Really enjoyed the Sand Bar in Mission Beach. The food was a pleasant surprise, well above expectations. Highlight was the Crying Tiger Beef dish and the brown fried rice, hard to pull off but absolutely scrumptious! Mission Beach style friendly relaxed service made our night our real treat.

Visited after looking at reviews on TripAdvisor. My husband had the reef fish special that was dry and overcooked. He ordered a side dish of potatoes which was a just a small serve of chips. I ordered pork belly which was also dry, overcooked and the pieces of pork were thinner than my fingernail. Overall very disappointing and would not... More

Mission beach is a lovely spot and well worth a visit. There are a number of choices for food and the Sand bar is about mid range. The food is not expensive, however just lacks that final punch of taste. One of our group had fish curry and it tasted like the fish had been cooked separate to the curry... More

Incredible review - on a par with the best restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. Fantastic staff too - just 2 wait staff for a full restaurant but were well trained and v fast and attentive. We had three courses and every dish was fantastic which is a rarity. We had the pork belly and the mackeral curry - the curry... More

I have eaten here a number of times and have always been impressed. I would call it Asian fusion styled food. The menu is not huge but it is well balanced, with specials written on the chalk board. The food is meant to be shared. The table service was very good and the meals prepared and served quickly. We had... More

It's a cozy restaurant with a friendly, sophisticated feel (reminded me of restaurants in Melbourne's Brunswick St). We were a part of five including three children and the staff were very welcoming on both nights we dined there. They came across as enjoying working there. The food was fantastic, a hit with all ages and not a hot chip in... More

After looking at all dinner options available in Mission Beach we decided to try this place. We were not disappointed, staff were very attentive and efficient, food was tasty, fresh and amazing. We started with the squid and prawn wonton both were very tasty, squid was tender. Main course was pork belly curry and the Queensland salmon with paw paw... More
