Deliciously different African, Mediterranean and Caribbean traditional family style cooking is served at the Key Restaurant Maleny, a short 20 minute drive from the Sunshine Coast. Some of the most popular dishes on the menu are Mozambique Chicken with Jollof Rice, the melt in your mouth Moroccan Lamb Tagine, the hot and spicy West Indies Goat Curry. All of the dishes are lovingly prepared by Ghanaian Chef and Owner, Simone Butler, with many involving very lengthy traditional preparation and slow cooking to perfection, often over 3 days. In addition to Simone's traditional ethnic dishes, there is also available fantastic 30 mm thick 350 gram plus grass fed, well marbelled steaks or fresh grilled barramundi. Key Restaurant Maleny is fully licensed with a cocktail bar, an interesting wine cellar with lots of variety to match the sometimes spicy and fragrant dishes. Excellent organic coffee, delicious cakes and deserts are a feature. Enjoy dining by the log fire or alfresco dining on the spacious veranda with panoramic views to the Coast, Mount Coolum, the hinterland and the Glasshouse Mountains. For mouth-watering meals, packed full of flavour and exotic spices, visit the Key Restaurant in Maleny. Open Wed – Sunday, lunch and dinner, Special Friday Night Buffet. We had a lovely dining experience at Keys and will definitely return. I am sure I will be thinking about the flavours in the prawn entrée for many months to come. My husband and I booked into the African style buffet on Friday 10th April and had some sensational food and wonderful service. The restaurant looked very appealing, the drinks available were very generous and the food serving sizes incredibly generous. We will return with our extended family another time.

Went there in a group of 4, we all ordered mains, tried each other's and they were all amazing!! And the desserts were honestly so delicious as well! The waiter was remarkable and gave excellent descriptions of each dish we were thinking about! And the girls loved the cocktails to! One of the best places for food I've been to!

Very knowledgible staff explained the menu very well, being non drinkers the lime and mint cocktails were an excellent accompaniment to our delicious food. Just the right amount of spice and fantastic flavours. Raspberry panacotta completed our dining experience. Highly recommended.

Today was magnificent!! Thanks to the chef and all the staff at the Keys restaurant for the fantastic food and great service. The food was really tasty (no need for salt and pepper here!) and the staff were very kind and attentive (thanks Paul!) even when we were inclined to be a bit fussy!! Couldn't have asked for a better... More

We have been to Key a number of times to celebrate special occasions and just for lunch or dinner.....The service provided by the Maitre d' Paul is always 5 star standard as well Sarah and the other waitresses who accompany him. If you love cocktails you won't be disappointed as Paul and Luke (the owner) are always making little tasters... More

WE have been here a few times now as we are newly local, and the first time we came as a family we were absolutely blown away!! The restaurant itself is really contemporary and fresh with nice high ceilings and a massive verandah for outdoor eating. There isn't much of a view as the restaurant is situated on the other...
