Some of the most popular dishes on the menu are Mozambique Chicken with Jollof Rice, the melt in your mouth Moroccan Lamb Tagine, the hot and spicy West Indies Goat Curry. Key Restaurant Maleny is fully licensed with a cocktail bar, an interesting wine cellar with lots of variety to match the sometimes spicy and fragrant dishes. Excellent organic coffee, delicious cakes and deserts are a feature. Enjoy dining by the log fire or alfresco dining on the spacious veranda with panoramic views to the Coast, Mount Coolum, the hinterland and the Glasshouse Mountains. Another lovely evening at Key. Service outstanding as usual, and chef Simone does not disappoint with her interesting African flavours, and commendable food ethics. The wine list offers wide variety including some unusual wines. We'll visit again.

My partner and I went here for dinner whilst staying in Maleny, from the minute you walk in it is beautifully lit, beautifully decorated and fantastic service. The food was incredible and the waiter was so accommodating (because i'm not a spicy food fanatic). We absolutely loved our meal and dessert and our pina colada and will definitely be returning.

My partner and I have been to Key Restaurant once before, in May last year, and we were very impressed with both the food and service: I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, she had the Mozambique. The staff were highly attentive without being intrusive, and the maitre d' was both very knowledgeable and informative regarding the menu. We were given... More

We've been to Key's multiple times now and been pleased with the quality of the food and the exceptional service every time. The Friday buffet represents wonderful value and a chance to try menu favourites as well as new dishes from the talented chef. Paul, the manager (I presume) is a credit to the restaurant and extremely knowledgeable. When we... More

Our first visit, a while ago was amazing. We sung the praises of your restaurant to everybody after our first visit. We have now been back twice since and on both occasions I left wanting to go and jump off the local cliff range in frustration. You need to find good table staff and then train them correctly as this... More

I have been to the Key Restaurant several times over the past couple of years and have enjoyed it every time. The food is good, the ambience is pleasant and the service is friendly. I highly recommend it. The only slight criticism I have is that the menu does not seem to change much. Be that as it may, I... More

You wouldn't usually expect an African restaurant in small country Queensland towns, but Key Restaurant is a pleasant departure from the usual restaurants you might find in such places. A wide choice of African dishes from Caribbean (which has had a lot of African influences), West, North and Southern parts of Africa, this restaurant is highly recommended for your trip... More

African / Caribbean restaurants are not common in this part of the world. This one has a menu full of interesting offerings that are prepared, cooked and presented to a very high standard. We went to the Key with another couple. We did not order entrees, but each selected a different main course - goat curry, lamb targine, Jerked chicken... More
