We enjoy ice cream and gelati in summers, and warm cappuccino in winter. Nice selection of cheeses, cured meats and olives too to take away.

We had the opportunity to eat here a few times over the last few months. The food and coffee was always good and, for any coeliacs out there, there are gluten free options on the menu. The ice-cream is delicious and so many flavours to choose from. It is great to find a place that can cater for my food... More

Expect a long wait when you order coffee's, I mean waiting 45 mins for coffee is a joke.. Our order was 2 hot chocolates, 3 flat whites, we watched people come and go before our small order came out! Staff weren't happy campers, it wasn't busy we walked in and 1/2 tables empty.. Get more stuff for Sundays especially around... More

Lovely little place, haven from the cold. I've never heard of your ice cream but having read the reviews I tried it and it is very good. Popular little place and my daughter loved the banana Nutella crepes. Why 3 stars then? Your blatantly bored staff are letting you down Mr James. Still ... I like the look of your... More

Undoubtedly the best ice cream and variety of cheeses in the area. However, customer service is almost non-existent: our enquiry on a particular cheese was treated with somewhat contempt by a senior waitress and there is a little bit of an attitude of "know it all". Very long wait for coffee and take away orders completed before 'sit down' service.

We when here because Maleny shuts down early and when I say early what I mean is 3:00pm. But not Colin James and boy was I happy they didn't. It was a great late lunch and ice cream. One of the best crapes we have ever tasted. The Ice Cream is VERY GOOD TOO!!!!

Great coffee and food. It is always busy, serving morning and afternoon tea and lunch. The ice cream is the best in Australia and always a queue! The great treat for me is the Fromagerie. Packed with cheeses from around the world, also including some exciting Tasmanian cheeses. There is fresh Stilton and wonderful French.... It is amazing the collection... More

A climate-controlled cool-room-walk-in-Fromagerie with a fabulous range of Australian and Imported cheeses ; a superb Gelaterie with home made product ; brilliant coffee and add a Cafe Menu full of mouth-wateringly good, inventive and creative offerings including a "proper English Ploughman's Lunch" (hard to find in Australia). Yes - I'm 'gushing' with enthusiasm because THAT is how GOOD this place... More

As regular visitors to Maleny, my wife and I ensure a trip to Colin James is always on the agenda. Whether dropping in for a quick cuppa or lunch, or simply grabbing some of the dozens of global cheeses on offer, you truly can't go wrong. This time around, our visit was simple; a quick early lunch to be followed... More
