The Kuranda Rainforest Restaurant was a great place for lunch while on the Skyrail tour. The restaurant has a glassed in area overlooking the rain forest. Some of the windows were open (it was rainy) to make you feel like you were actually in the rainforest. Various birds were perched on the branches outside the windows. The food was average... More

In a town like Kuranda there are numerous food options and on a short visit it is difficult to know which to choose. We happened upon this one as it appeared to have an interesting enough menu with Kangaroo burger an attraction. The service was generally friendly enough, though the practice of not paying your waitress must lead to a... More

Although it was a rainy day in Kuranda, but having lunch at this restaurant brought so much joy and happiness to our experience. It was busy and the restaurant was almost full. The service was fast and friendly. It was 5 of us. We tasted different dishes and shared in between us. We all enjoyed the taste of the food... More

My partner and I entered the restaurant where about six diners were seated. We ordered one drink, one salad, and one sandwich. After about 25 minutes the food arrived. The salad was of amateur quality, but this report is about the sandwich. With about one bite to go, partners jaw drops when she spots an approximately 5 cm wire in... More

We should have checked Tripadviser before our trip to Kuranda as the reviews for this sorry establishment were spot on. The grilled barramundi (?) and awful medley of vegetables were obviously both from the freezer and cooked and served with no love or taste. At $31.95, not cheap either.. If the man taking the cash at the counter was the... More

Not a good experience and far too expensive for what it was. My husband's fish and chips was soggy and my chicken pasta OK. This is definitely a restaurant designed for bus loads of tourists. On the positive side, our waitress was helpful and prompt. I couldn't recommend this place and certainly won't be returning.

Because of the location there are limited choices once you get to Kuranda. Unfortunately this dining experience was pedestrian. The food was ordinary. The prices were not in line with the quality of food. The cashier was rude. What ever happened to The Frogs?

My wife, son, and I had the worst lunch dining experience at this restaurant that we have had on our 3 week trip. My chicken salad had severely overcooked chicken strips, huge pieces of lettuce that were not broken up, and a few tomatoes. My wife had the Cobb salad where the eggs were so overcooked that the yolk had... More

Well, we haven't checked any reviews beforehand and were really surprised by the bad value for money you get at the Rainforest View Restaurant. Not only there, but I had the feeling that the whole village is ripping off tourists. Prices are far higher (OK due to location), but the value is totally missing. I have paid 20 Dollars for... More

I'm kinda glad we didn't eat there considering the reviews below but my wife had a delicious smoothie there. She asked for a recommendation from the staff and the person doing the juicing came up and told her about a concoction for a sweet one. Don't know about anything else but I highly recommend the smoothies.
