Best restaurant in the Daintree!

We have eaten here on a number of occasions on past visits to the Daintree and once again, it did not disappoint. This is a family owned and operated business, staff were all super friendly and the setting unmatched. Nothing beats eating dinner by candlelight in the rainforest! The food was... read more

We stumbled onto the place by accident and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is great and the food amazing. Then we got our bill and were shocked at how reasonable the prices were. I would not hesitate to go here again.

Lovely restaurant - love how you sit outside and are high up. Staff very friendly and prices for a nice meal are reasonable considering its hom-emade food. Does have Wifi but a bit temperamental at times.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Whet Cafe this afternoon. Despite the heat, the cafe was comfortable and truly inviting. We really enjoyed meeting the owner, Michelle. She was on her own as the staff was out sick. But she took it all in stride and provided outstanding service. It did give us the opportunity to meet her and... More

The coffee and cakes (homemade) were welcome after a long drive through the National Park. The toilets were handy, as the ones at Cape Tribulation had just burnt down. The service was good, and the they were happy to share local information. This was a short pit stop, the Daintree has so much to see and do in a day.

We rarely go to the same eaterie twice in a holiday, but staying close by at the Exotic Fruit Farm, Whet proved worth it for our only two evenings in Daintree. Lovely interesting food and good wines and beers, and great service. Fab setting and not unreasonable when you consider how remote the place is. Go there!

My husband and I were....................unimpressed to say the least. We were the first ones to arrive for lunch and fourth served; given we ordered a hummus plate (for all intents and purposes) and a simple vegetarian sandwich this was odd. The food was mediocre and the portions small. There were roughly 15-18 tables and only one waitress, who also acted... More

Had the kangaroo. Best kangaroo I've had. Apple balsamic glaze was perfection. Loved the sunflower seed and accompanying food too.
