This place is must when visiting Bowen. As the name implies the views here are 360 degrees. The Cafe is just that so don't expect a fancy restaurant. Food is good, coffee very good and staff are great. This is one of the view places in Bowen where you can read about the history, both white and aboriginal, of the... More

Visited this brilliant lookout and it was a rainy day, and still best 360 degree views of area. Really puts the whole area in perspective. Great great great. Cafe at top has delicious coffee and scones to add to the view. Make sure you go right up to the observation deck on top. There are small huts which are perfect... More

Went for a quick breakfast on our way to Townsville. Great view of Bowen and surrounding ocean/Islands. Served great coffee but meals were huge, very heavy and very fatty. Tasted fine but sheer out of food was a bit of an appetite turn off.

we have dined here a few times and each time they seem to improve on the last visit, don't expect elaborate dining it is very much down to earth, good sized meals well cooked with lovely service from the staff, the views are spectacular and always a relaxing visit to look out over the sea looking for the whales, the... Drove up for the fantastic views all around. Went to the cafe at 3.10pm for afternoon tea, there were people eating outside and staff were preparing food for others. Was told by a snooty young girl, "we're closed, not serving anymore" - unbelievable at 3.10pm in the afternoon on a perfect day. The car park was half full, lots of... More

Our scones were dry and hard. The pancakes were too thick - not at all tasty and certainly not worth the $14. The observation tower was empty. We didn't feel welcome.

What a fantastic idea - pick the best view in Bowen and stick a restaurant on top of it!! Add a bit of history etc and you've got a great place to visit. Follow the signs to the Flagstaff Hill Interpretive Centre. We visited on a Sunday for lunch and we pleased to see that we were not the only... More
