Little gem in Rye!

This little restaurant is a must visit when in Rye! It's lovely and cozy in the winter weather.. but there's also a lovely outdoor area out the back for the warm summer months too. Food is delicious! We've only ever had a few entrees to share, but it's always been so good.. especially the German... read more

We visited in May 2015. Food was great & very filling. Food had a real home cooked feeling to it which made you feel very comfortable. The Restraunt itself was very cosy. We were very happy with our experience. Donuts for dessert are a must have. So yummy !

We made a last minute booking on the drive down from Melbourne after reading the reviews. It's definitely deserves its reputation. Interesting food, not commonly served elsewhere, in a cosy atmosphere. Good beer selection and the donuts are sensational - make sure you reserve them at the start of your meal as they sold out during our meal and other... More

What a lovely meal and experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff were welcoming and helpful. It has a warm and inviting ambience. My husband enjoyed the German beers. The food was flavoursome and the meals were good sized quantities. You may need to book on Friday and saturday nights as it was to capacity on the night... More

My fiance and I went here for dinner after finding good reviews on trip advisor. Anyway it didn't disappoint. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. The food was delicious too with a nice variety of options. Overall it cost $60 for 3 big entrees, two beers, and a desert (doughnuts mm) which I thought was well... More

Booked a table with a large group on a very cold night. Wasn't overjoyed to be placed by the door - with the door opening towards the beach the winds blew straight in. Service was very friendly and prompt, Most of us had schnitzels, which were delicious although quite expensive ($30). My partner and I shared one, which worked out... More

Simply go if you have the opportunity, this place is a MUST. We couldn't be in a better place to have lunch around Mornington Peninsula. The food is amazing and tasty, no words.

A small German themed restaurant in Rye, this establishment is a cozy retreat for a hearty meal. The potato and sauerkraut rosti was a nice starter and the lamb main course was cooked perfectly. Wine is available by the glass, carafe or bottle. Service was friendly and the staff took a nice photo of us all at the table.

My husband and I had dinner here midweek and the restaurant was reasonably quiet. The decor is very eastern European and sets the scene as soon as you walk in. Small table settings, large table with benches, couch in front of the fire. Service was fantastic, very friendly, quick and helpful with menu and drink suggestions. We shared 3 entrees... More
