We arrived about 7PM on a Friday and the place was packed. We had to wait awhile for a table but we were glad we did. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere at the communal table in the back. I had the lamb shanks which melted in my mouth, and the portion was too big for... More

Fantastic meal and drinks (although they are on the dearer side). Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Would go back again.

On a cold wet night we stopped for dinner. The food is good plain cooking with a bit of extra flair. The portions are decent and good value, and it has a family friendly environment. I has the Thai beef cheeks which were tasty and the buttermilk berry sponge was excellent.

The place was busy all night but the service remained friendly and efficient throughout. The steaks were great, though a tad expensive at $40..beautifully cooked.Lots of options, including a very popular (going by the number delivered) Guinness beef pie. We will return.

We were surprised, on what we expected would be a quiet Monday evening, to see the amount of cars parked outside the Farmer's Arms Hotel. This hotel is busy, and for a good reason: the food and wine choices are simply excellent! We each had an eye fillet mignon, and these were were cooked to a perfect, melt-in-your-mouth medium rare,... More

This was recommended to us and we now know why. We arrived on a Friday night without a booking and it was packed. We had to settle for a communal table, but it was large enough we never really noticed the other people. We ordered at the bar and meals were brought to us. OMG the food was amazing, so... More

The owner of a local winery suggested we go to Farmers Arms. We were not disappointed. The service was great. The mains, desserts, wine & coffee were also great. No complaints

We wanted somewhere fairly casual but with great food and the Farmers Arms hit the nail on the head. No reservations needed, find a table and order at the bar. Chicken stuffed with goats cheese was wolfed down followed by a fabulous cheese platter. Great coffee accompanied by great service. Would go back.
