We absolutely adored this cafe. It's set in the botanical gardens, which are spectacular. We loved the range of food and beverage options available and wished we could eat more. The decor of the cafe was really cute and cosy. We liked perusing the range of local items on display. The service was fantastic and the place had a great... More

A gorgeous spot for lunch, great staff and very warm ambience. My partner and I enjoyed salads, flathead tails and fries with a lovely matched Gewurtztraminer from Granite Hills. The flathead was perfect as we're the crispy fries and loved the look of the pizzas which I will definitely have a of at next time. Good stuff!

The botanical gardens are small but idyllic. Wombat Hill House is a little cafe in the middle. It's a steep hill from the centre of Daylesford, but not difficult to walk up if you have a moderate amount of fitness. The cafe was good, but probably not the best we ate at while in Daylesford. I ate the homemade crumpets... More

Wombat Hill House is 'hidden' amongst the trees at the top of the hill in the beautiful Botanical Gardens. The house itself is beautifully designed in soothing blue-and-white tones, with warm wood, stone and a cosy fireplace. There's a gorgeous vine-covered terrace area, or courtyard you can eat in – if the Daylesford weather permits – complete with vegie gardens.... More

We attended a wedding here and were so impressed with this lovely place. The service could not be better and the food was terrific and there was plenty for even the biggest eaters. The cafe is in the Botanic gardens and we went back there for a delicious breakfast the next morning. If you are looking for a beautiful spot,... More

Great brunch spot in Daylesford from Alla Wolf-Tasker of Lake House ilk. Set at the top of Wombat Hill in the gardens with views of the Dayleford township and surrounds. Breakfast offers the usuals of eggs on toast with a gourmet selection of sides including chorizo sausage, black pudding, and home made baked beans. Generously large cakes, scones and other... More

A gorgeous location in the local botanical gardens. Food innovative and delicious. A tip, grab your table number from a table before ordering at the counter. A sunny day up here amongst the gardens is most enjoyable. Service good as well.

Had a very lovely lunch. Really nice setting . 1 staff member a male was so helpful and cheery were as the lady that took our order grumpy, maybe she was having a bad day. Food was lovely but a tad pricey for what you get. 8/10 for food and setting
