We had walked our three dogs around the Wombat Gardens and popped in for a hot drink and rest before heading back home. Our waiter kindly unlocked the gate to allow us in with the dogs in the outside part of the cafe, where we found some cushions on seats for our cold bottoms. Our drinks arrived promptly and we... Finding the entrance by car was a nightmare Finally found the car park and had to walk through what I would agree was beautiful vegetation, however after having just recently having had heart surgery, it was difficult. When we got to the actual cafe, we found that there was a much more convenient entrance available, but obviously kept for locals... More

Thank-you for your feedback. You are correct, we are located in the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens. The main car park for the gardens is at the top and there is some parking available at the lower end of the gardens. We are limited with the signage we can initiate in a public space as it is not our own but... More

I visited this amazing beautiful gem in Daylesford this morning for breakfast. I had a breakfast pizza... yes a pizza for breakfast, need I say more! The coffee was perfect and brewed to perfection. The service was impeccable!! The staff went above and beyond catering to my every need, 1 in particular Phillip. Although we did not speak for long... More

After ordering 2 mochas.. I was expecting some great coffee.. My partners coffee came out first in a mug.. there was no froth at all and honestly looked like a flat white, could hardly see the chocolate in the coffee. A few minutes later (keep in mind we ordered together) my small mocha came out, once again no froth. The... More

We took some friends from Perth here. The two Reubens we ordered lacked corn beef; for the price we paid, this was disappointing. The sandwich/roll menu had some nice suggestions and the menu stated, and "made or order" but when we attempted to order the Indian man taking the orders said they did not. His English was not very good... More

Fabulous location in the middle of Wombat Hill gardens that looked gorgeous with autumn colour. The cafe decor artfully reflects this location and the kitchen garden courtyard at the rear was a perfect spot on the sunny day. Lovely to sit amongst the herbs, vegetables and fruit trees under the umbrellas. The covered courtyard adjacent to the main dining area... More
